I have owned my Z since 2007. It was my present to myself after my third deployment and I have had so many heartaches with this car. Any sane man would tell me to get rid of it. I blew the motor the first day I had the car. (I will take the blame for that one I was stupid then) So I had a used motor and had it put in. That was painful. after months of waiting I was able to drive it out of there (shop in NC) and loaded it on a trailer and hauled it to LA (the state). Within a week there I blew a head gasket. So the car sit for months until I found SGP in TX. I took my car to SGP and it was there for months. After another motor, a new piggy back system and a few other things I got my car running again. It is not perfect, but they unhooked my alarm system so the car would run better. Do not ask me how it worked, but that motor lasted for around a little over a year. One day it started to knock on the way to work. The knock didn't last long. So I thought I would be alittle smarter this time and I didn't put the super charger back in. It was also messed up when the engine blew. The small shop that put the motor in did a great job and completed it in a week before I moved to AZ. Even though I had so much go wrong with this car I cant help but love it. I am continuing to learn alot as I progress in my project. The shops here in the Phoenix area have been really resourceful (ie. Intense Performance & Vivid Racing). The car has tons of mods and more to come!

You should sell the Z and buy a brand new GTR as a present to yourself. Report back when the motor blows.

Thanks to all... Here are a few more pics. I am waiting on a new hood to come in. I am hoping to be putting it on Monday.

 

The supercharger I have is a procharger. I guess I should have called it that in the first place and I am going to send it to get rebuilt at the end of the year

 

This would also be my recommendation.
