Default New Owner in Boston Area

Hey guys,
I just picked up a 6MT 2008 350z with 14k on the clock. The car is awesome, but I have a few questions. What do you guys recommend for snow tires. We got our first snowfall tonight, and I noticed the that when I brake hard on the snow there is a humming noise coming from the engine bay. I figured it is the antilock braking system, but just want to be sure.

Thanks

Congrats and welcome to the forum. Our z are not that great in snow but if you still want try to get Bridgestone Blizzak Snow Tires. A lot of guys used them. Good luck.

Congrats on the new Z. I have Dunlop Graspic DS-2 snow tires on my Z. The car is rarely driven in the snow but they seem to do a pretty good job. Here is a pic of my Z with the winter setup.

My Dunlops are 225-50X17 on front and 225-55X17 on the back. They seem to work fine.

welcome to the forum. that humming noise sounds unusual. i would get the pads and rotors checked out just in case. but then again i've never driven mine in the snow so i'm not 100% certain
