Default New Z owner!! yessss 07 baby

just got my new Z picked up last night! and i'm lovin it... I think i got a pretty good deal...what you guys think?

Dealer purchase
07 Silver 350z - Base model.
51k miles
$17k OTD

exterior and interior in pretty great shape... no dings or scratches..all stock.,

One thing i notice about the car is during idle, i feel like a vibration or very slight tapping on the clutch and brake when i have my feet on it (but not pressed). Is this normal? Anyone else feel it?

Suggested retail is over 18k, so fi you got it from a dealer, yes you got a good deal. Congrats.

Can we get a little more detail on the issue? I've got an 07 base as well. Stay on top of it as the power-train warranty is only good through 60k miles.

Also, check with the dealer to see if your clutch slave cylinder has been replaced. It's the one major issue with the 07, but its covered by a recall.

i asked for a list of things changed out after they got the car, but i don't think that was on the list. Do you have a website where i can check all the recalls?

let me double check on the vibration/tapping again later and see if i can describe it better...

Welcome. PIX or GTFO!!! jus playin... seriously tho. pix.

and the trans feeling might be the flywheel issue that the Zs have. and by issue i mean they sound like a cement mixer. jus keep the clutch pressed some no one asks you if your car is falling apart!

I have grinding crap every once in a while, and the dealer already tightened a "shift plate(?) and now i just have to get it to consistantly do it for the dealer to fix it. make a case though. they said it has to be a recurring thing for them to replace anything. i think i need to just get a hookup somewhere

anyway. welcome to the boards --hit them runnin with PICTURES!!

Post pics, congrats and yes, the clutch chatter is normal.........slave cylinder replacement doesn't fix this. You can also feel your wiper motors through the clutch pedal too, ha ha.

I don't have a link and didn't find a complete list with a quick google search. But my dealership told me about two recalls: 1. the clutch slave cylinder, which they replaced for free, and 2. The passenger seat airbag sensor, which some were not manufactured to spec.

Have your dealer check both.

Congrats on the new purchase. The HR is the Z car to have IMO.

If I can help you personalize that car once you get some seat time shoot me a PM.
