Default Just picked up an 03! -pics-

Hey! New guy here from Alabama. Just picked up an 03 touring yesterday. Traded my motorcycle and some loot for. I really like it so far! Although there are a few things that need to be fixed. I just ordered a window motor for the passenger side, and it should be here today so hopefully I'll get that squared away! The lift shocks on the hatch are almost shot, sometimes you can get them to hold but not often. Noone here has them so I guess I'll have to order them, cheapest I can find is 57.99 at Advance, anyone recommend anything else?

Anyways on to the pictures!!!!

I think Im about to take that speaker out, not really my taste.

Traded this for it.

Hopefully the Z will be more my daily then my truck!

The guy stated that the car needed tires so I thought about just going ahead and ordering wheels and tires. Anyone have any input on these?

Welcome and congratulations. Nice color.

Interesting to see that the previous owner installed a sunroof. You don't see that very often.

welcome! car looks to be in good shape - also that sunroof is sweet! no leaks?

for the rear hatch struts, try this guy if he still has them: https://my350z.com/forum/misc/526318...ver-parts.html

and please check out the wheels and tires threads, and marketplace etc. before buying 20" ebay rims! To each their own, but it could literally save your life.

Welcome to the forum. Quite rare to have a sunroof installed. Will be one of not many globally.

Also is that speaker just sitting under the strut bar, looks like it's not attached to anything! Nightmare if you have to do a very hard stop!!!

Are those pumps on the truck? WHat set up do you have. Love the moster notch and I assume you are running a triangulated 4-link/body drop?

DO NOT BUY THOSE. THe offset is the generic +35 and they will look like crap. Way sunken in and skinny tires. Do what I did and forget what you learned about minitruck styling. Save another thousand and buy a used set of quality forged wheels here that are made to fit your car. There are Volks in the marketplace here for $1500. 19" You want +22 offset at the max..

I forgot to mention earlier that I too have the exact same webasto sunroof, so does another member of my local z club......And I would do anything to get rid of it, seriously

When I bought the car just thought it was "fully loaded"
Then upon purchase I come to find it is after market and within a year dying slowly. The headliner is starting to fall cause all the clips are breaking. Can u say disaster

If I have any advice I read u can put graphite powder in the rails, that's what the last owner said he did when I called him. Or just stop using it before it leaks. Mine doesn't leak but I fear next time I open it it won't seal again.

Def plan on removing it someday & buyin the Asuka double hump to cover that bish.

Thanks for the welcomes!
I will check out those sites and the marketplace for sure. Im not that far deep in Alabama so no gun rack for me. Also yes, that is a little speaker/amp combo under the stut bar, I dont really care for it so I may just take it out. Good news, got the window motor swapped out and were good to go!

About the truck, yea those are the pumps in the back. Ive got 4 viair 480s, a 5 gallon tank, 2 1/2 and 6 3/8 valves. Has a 3 link setup in back and no, its not body dropped...yet lol

Anyways, the guy did state that he didnt think the sunroof was stock but he didnt do it, the 1st owner did. It doesnt leak so it doesnt bother me. Do any Z's come with a sunroof?

One more question, when ordered wheels alot of people are stating that wheels may fit depending on the brakes. How do I figure out if I have the brembo brakes? I guess thats how its spelt.
