Default RX8 Recovery group?

Hows it going everybody, i'm Jonathan 26. Just purchased an '07 Grand Touring 6 speed and am having it delivered from Cali (should be here tomorrow) because my '04 RX8 GT got totaled (some jackhole in a truck hit my girlfriend and drove off, and besides I wanted something with torque anyway.) Been thinking it through and looked at everything I wanted in a car a decided the Z was the way to go for me.

I was looking for a quick car, but RWD and handling were the primary things I wanted. So as far as mods go the only thing I am going to focus on is suspension and getting some actual driving classes. Oh yeah and finding some winter wheels/tires for the crap Missouri weather that will be coming up soon.

I'll toss up a few pictures that the stealership put up then get some real pictures when I actually receive the car.

Either way just wanted to say hi to everyone

Hi. Sorry to hear about the RX-8. You are better off (granted your GF wasn't hurt). I have the same car in Carbon Silver (K51). You will love it and the way it drives. This site is very addictive and will pull you in. Congrats on the purchase and enjoy the site. Post pics as soon as you get it..

84,000 miles, high I know...but I need a car (driving my grandmothers old minivan is killing me lol) and I spent $18,800 on it

Yeah, I wasn't worried about the nav or leather, I really just wanted the newer engine, LSD, and bigger brakes. I had hoped to find a different color but I couldn't pass this one up.

Yeah I kinda freaked out, I had just purchased an '07 ZZR600 so as soon as I got the call I went flying down the highway....never again on a bike. The funny thing is as soon as she started driving my RX8 she decided her Kia Soul was not good enough for her and has since bought an Audi TT coupe.

Dam you americans...that is what I paid for my 06 Base with same miles on it. Most 06's go for over $20,000 here.

Looks nice and congrats on acquiring torque!

Trust me Joe...getting that price took a lot of searching and even more negotiations . Thats why I bought a car that was over 1600 miles away from me lol.

Welcome to the board from a fellow Prior RX8 owner! I had an 04 also, and the difference is night and day. I still miss the 8's ability to grab on no matter what, but the Z FOR SURE overcompensates with power, and its no slouch in the curves either. I loved the 8 because the car did the driving for you, all ya needed was a gear and a direction! The Z commands respect and will bite you if you dont give it....

Anyway op, drive safe and enjoy!

^ +1 TOTALLY AGREE!

I'm reborn sports car owner as well... Traded my RX8 in on my Z... (the wife still has her RX8, attempting to get her to move on) Sorry to hear about your 8 though, glad no one was hurt... You won't be disappointed by your new upgrade!
