Im new here, hey guys! (more)
I just found this site and I am 14 (i know its young) I have wanted the 350z since the first time i saw it in a magazine which was like a year or two ago. Since i have already decided to buy it im gonna get a good deal since my uncle is a regional manager of nissan, I get 10 % off of dealers cost. I figured i can get a Z for about 20-24k.
First I wanna ask if anyone has one and how they got it, how they like it etc. Also does anyone have a skyline? Thoose are awesome but way over priced to import. anyway hello

Welcome to the sight Morpheus. If you use the search feature of the site, you will see many people have already accepted their Z's and have posted pictures and opinions.
Don't let anyone here scare you off regarding age.
Welcome,
Todd

Hey Morpheus welcome,
I say if you can afford it then get it regardless of age. Hell it's a steal at $24K, just don't rice it up, hehe.
BTW if you wanna read about Skylines and stuff go over to www.freshalloy.com , their forum has a section for the GT-R and a lot of owners in the US post there so you can get a lot info.

Welcome aboard.
If you already have $24K in your saving account, get one and I'll happy to help you break it in nicely until you turn 16.

daytona350z is 16, he worked hard for many years and saved up enough money to pay for 3/4 of his Z. See this thread => https://my350z.com/forum/showthread....3627#post53627
If you start your saving early, study hard, work hard, get a good paying job, sooner or later you will have money to buy this car, just like most of the folks in this forum.
I don't think folks in this forum are against teenager in general. Both my kids are teenager.
The last 2 weeks were tough for Ricky. You have to read his threads and draw your own conclusion.
Oh, BTW, you should go to bed now. You have school tomorrow.

I have said that I don't think that a super fast sports car is ideal for a first car because young drivers may get into trouble with that much power. Also insurance may be 2 times greater than for a normal car.

Morpheus, regardless of the problems with inexperience driving a high-HP car, I would encourage you not to take on such a high-debt obligation so young.
Putting yourself in such a position could cause you to become a "slave to the grind" far too early, and you could find yourself sacrificing more important stuff like school so you can have a job to pay for your short-term debt.
It may not be easy, but perhaps the best thing to do is get an older car with cheap insurance, and save as much as you can. Even a 2-4% bond is better than a -5% car + insurance.
Just some thoughts...
