Just to update installed coilovers today but ran short on time. Front camber arm is on but need rear camber arms. Also still at about stock height so I will drop it when I get under it again tomorrow.

Yes, function over form, spend some more time at the track, a lot more time at the track learning how to drive it before you turbo it.

Very good advise!!

Welcome to the forum. You say you are about to deploy? What branch are you in? I have a cousin who just got back from Afghanistan. Best of wishes out there. Keep you Eyes up and your Head down!!!

Been to the track a couple of times but when I get this turbo in I don't think I'm goin back till I upgrade the brakes. Just don't feel comfortable until I do. I'm in the army

Padilla, yeah brakes are a must. I've tracked my Z twice on a road course and I had serious brake fade and this was while I was only all-motor. On my first race, I started getting more aggressive as I learned the track more and I almost slammed in to the back of an SVT Cobra going in to a tight turn.

He thought I was trying to pass him but I later told him my brakes were completely gone (I had Stop Tech Stage 2's but they are OEM size but just slotted. They are the small non-Brembo size).

So yeah, even if you are just all-motor, getting some good BIG brakes will actually make each run more fun because if you just rely on stock brakes, eventually you'll have to drive slower as time moves forward on each run unless you engine brake a lot.

BBK's are a must if you're turbo'd/supercharged.

Thanks for the info. Thought stage 2 would b enough but I guess I'll just throw money into front brakes to alieveate(?) the cost. I expected to pay off my car after deployment, build the block, and mayb buy an 06 tranny (cd009) but if stage two is no go I'll have to also upgrade.

Forgot about this old post. Guess I can update. I got 2k on my engine after putting the turbo in. Only 4psi at 296/303 but like stated before building block after deployment. Of course I know forums well so useless without pics. I'll update accordingly.
Exhaust view from a tow truck, there's always complications lol

Taking her to get tuned at Jotec motorsports.

Finding out why I needed a tow truck after getting tuned, fuel pump was zip tied on till I found this fix so it is an important milestone lol

And finally how she sits now. Thinking of doin v2 front and nismo sides and rear add Ons

Why only 4psi if you plan on building the motor?

Because I just wanted to feel special with turbo for the last 2-3 month before I deploy and have no problems. I actually wanted 6 pounds but a buddy of mine help me install the kit and put the wrong spring in. He was looking at the old chart so he put the 4psi spring and while gettin tuned it would have cost more money to pull me off the dyno and change springs and I was running short on founds. Only came into the turbo build wit 10k accessible. Also I was under the impression that u need a rebuildable core to turn in and get my $1000 back. I didn't want to risk putting a hole in the side wall because the connecting Rods arnt super strong. need to keep all the money I can available because after spending 12k so far I have calculated spending another 20k easy . Gotta pay to play though right

This is a first. A noob that actually talked about getting a turbo, and then actually gets a turbo.
