Finally a 350Z Owner! Pictures inside, Enjoy!
Hello everybody!
So finally after 6 month of stalking every advertisement channel in the tri-state area i have found and purchased my 350z. Ill be honest, i was looking for something special at a good deal...well ..i found it. After test-driving and checking out around 20 350z's, 3 of which were FI, this one is the winner... one of them even got sold out from under me! Half an hour before i got to the dealership which was 3 hours away for me, it sold. Boohoo...never do business with Jefferson City Mo Nissan....Corwin nissan i believe... very bad experience.
But its good that it did not work out because i found this one so i guess whats meant to be is meant to be.
I know this isn't the best way to get into the world of 350z but it has to do, i purchased a FI 2003 350z with 39k miles. It is tuned by Sound Performance up in Chicago on a gt35r at 10 psi putting out 380hp with PowerLab kit. Runs amazingly, exterior and interior is flawless... what can i say... of course there are a few areas of concern that i will have questions about later but nothing that important for now.
Since owning it i have added only a few minor things. In the pictures you will see eyelids, i always absolutely loved eyelids on 350s so had to get em one of the first things .. i know other people may have a different opinion about eyelids but that's just it...an opinion..
I have also added a bit of upgraded sound, 2x type Rs 12's in a beautiful box "Check out the Z insignia on the box". Used my old Pioneer Double din and so far i am not complaining ...sounds nice and clean and i am not craving for more.
What else..otherwise on the outside this thing looks completely stock ... even the original wheels which probably were not on the car that much with the previous owner due to their good condition.
I don't know what else can i say without giving out all of my secrets but i guess this is a fair introductory post, i am located in the STL area and would love to meet other local Z owners .... i have already registered to stlzc.com (st louis z club) and do plan to attend a few of the meets.
I am here to learn more about the vehicle and hopefully learn enough to be able to do some of the work myself .... another reason why i stayed away from heavily modified exterior Zs.
Once thing that tickles me is people seeying the vehicle and automatically assuming that i beat on it ... i take very good care of my cars. yes i got on it ocasionaly, who doesnt ..i didnt buy a civic HF to save on gas for a reason....
Bellow i have attached a few pictures ^^ Enjoy!

What a find...
I've always loved to do a "stealth/sleeper" car.
Done several.
Looks as though the previous owner did some quality work.
On the eyelids...its your car.If you have a eyelid fetish, thats ok.
I've got a pair on my car.I prefer the curved thin type/CF.IMO,go better
with the Z lines. To each his own.
Whats some of the specs on your Z?

It's not to late to remove the eyelids. Newer GT wheels would be perfect for your car if you want to keep the stock look. They are 19x10 rears and let you run the tires you need for your HP
lol i knew i would get crap for the eyelids
but o well...love em..
next on the list is definately the wheels..the biggest obstacle in the way of that is my wife..just gotta convince her that they are worth it..
I do want to keep the cleaner look therefore i have my eye on some Rays 370z Nismo wheels, found some for a decent price a while back, hope to stumble upon a good deal like that again. 1.5" wide in the rear...would be a blessing for my traction issues ..also they fit flawlessly on 350s right out of the box.
wolf in sheep's clothing , i love that lol ..
next stop is going to be going over to the FI section of the forum, i am not that familiar with FI on VQ bases, i hail from the DSM world, a bit of a different game between the two engines.
tune up... i was considering doing that when i do a cylinder compression check ...something that i do on my cars for my state of mine yearly, unfortunately due to the extra work that's needed to get that done on the 350 i am waiting till the summer is over to get it done then.
I am quite open to any and all the suggestions so please fire them at me ..ye ye i know take off the eyelids..sorry but thats not happening lol ...tint and rims..ye thats a must ..other then that i think ill keep the body same unless i get around to purchasing some JDM tail lights and/or modifying my headlight housing, painting it black and/or putting a custom CCFL angeleye with ultraviolet CCFL voltage setup
basically my aim is to keep it clean! cheers all!
Ive had that thought as well tho as well as it runs i wasnt about to complain ... the previous owner the tune and thas what the paperwork taht i was given stated ... i do plan to do a tune of my own at the same place this thing was built but once again ...later on in the season

i love the kit its nice and fluid, starts spooling around 2.5k- 3k rpm ... i have driven a 350 with a turbokinetics kit in it and there is no comparison and i have driven a 350 with throw together some ebay parts kit ..that was horrid...
basically yeh i love the kit from a user perspective, from a technical perspective the job that was done installing it is clean as hell, engine seems to be running good, tho you may have some issues with your AC since they have to fabricate a new AC line for that kit.
the box i got on a deal off some dude off of Craigslist ...he supposedly had it custom fabricated

I like it a lot, not sure why the guys on here dislike eyelids and smoked lights...the term ricer comes up a lot. I personally REALLY want to get eyelids just like you have on mine ASAP.
Also nice that it is already boosted...definitely can't complain there
Good luck
