Default Should i get it? 2008 350z

2008 Base model 350z, 29000 miles. The car was in a low speed front end collision and the bumper and left side panel was replaced. There was no damage to the engine and it did not hit it. I went and looked at the car and everything looks like new and it drives perfectly. The guy is asking 12,500 for the car but i think i can get him down a bit. Does it seem like a good price? And should i go for it?

Also this would be my first 350z

Thanks alot.

Yes, get the car. At that price for a newer Z, that's not bad.

Will this be driven all year around?

Does the car have a rebuilt title? If so, it will be very hard to resell later down the road.

The fact that he's asking for such a low price clearly indicates the car took more than some light damage. He had the bumper, headlights, front fenders (and hood I bet) replaced. Although you looked at the car, I would take it to a reputable shop and have it closely inspected.. undercarriage and all. It'll cost you an extra $60 but better safe than sorry. Ask for pictures of the damage to see for yourself exactly how bad it was. The car may drive fine now but you could run into problems later on from a damaged chassis, front axle, or any compromise to the structural integrity of the car.

And you should run the car facts report using the Vin. Does the car have a rebuilt title? You won't have much luck reselling that in Canada, something to take into consideration.

And people are asking if you plan to drive it all year around because you live in Winnipeg, where the winters are sometimes as cold -37 Celsius. It'll be difficult to drive in the snow and on ice with a RWD.

um yea don't get.... the headlights have been changed out and that takes the value down a crap ton no telling what other parts were replaced at a lower value. Get it completely looked at if you do. Crashs can hide nasty internal scars.

Given it's a 2008, more than likely a 2007 build, why did the insurance company put the older model headlights and nose on???? Sure they should have replaced with exactly what was there before the incident.

Anyway, hard to give advice when we haven't actually seen the car or driven in. Not that that helps you. Good luck.

Easy, because cruise control makes you lazy imo. Had my 350 since new, coming up 9 years, only ever used cruise control twice.
