Howdy from FMTX!
That is Flower Mound TX y'all. Proud owner of an 06 Roadster for going on 3 months now. LUV the car! No issues at all, but I do have one question that I can't find an ans to in the threads: I bought an aftermatket OEM style trunk spoiler on Fleabay and it looks great, but when I was getting ready to install it I found 2 imbedded nuts in the base. I emailed the seller about a bolt kit and got the answer to just install it with the 3M tape. OK, this is TX. it gets 140+ degrees in the sun and there's no covered parking at work. It's a very dirty environment so the car gets a bath 2~3 times a week cuz I like it pretty. I just don't trust tape for what I consider a permanent install. It wont bother me near as much to drill a couple holes and let that tape be a gasket with a couple bolts in the trunk lid as it would to have it come off in the car wash or "at speed" and screw up my pretty paint.
Any input or opinions welcome! This is a great site! Had several Q's about the car at first, but found everything else here, and it saved me a buttload of $$.
I chose the Z because of my other "Nissan" 1970 DATSUN PL521-U 3/4 ton mini truck that I've driven for 11 years now. Best $200 bucks I ever spent on FleaBay! It does one thing the Z can't do...Haul HEAVY SCHITT! Well, that's my intro. Glad to be here!

Welcome!
The OEM spoiler is usually mounted when it comes on the car with 2 metal screws
that go into holes on each side. The nuts that are imbedded in the base should be able to be removed? As far as installation goes, many guys just install with 3-M tape. This is
much easier than having to remove the underside panel(like 16 clips)and drilling the holes for the screws. Also, you don't have the template that comes with the original OEM
spoiler. The holes must line up to the small circular opening in the deck supports or,you
can't get to the screws.3-M tape applied correctly should work. You may also note
several adhesive(black)"blocks"that were used to add more stick to the mounting.
I'd apply adhesive globs in these areas, then press down along when you are doing
the 3-M .A great material to use for the adhesive is a windshield install kit. This is a roll of
butyl rubber.Just pull off some pieces and use for attachment. This stuff is tough.Hey,they mount windshields with it!When you apply the 3-M to the spoiler surface, you will have to remove the gasket material that still may be on the rim and get the surface clean. You may want to pick up some adhesive promoter pads to coat the
deck surface before you slap down your spoiler.Just hold that sucker down with pressure
for about 4-5 minutes.I ain't gonna go nowhere!
Good Luck!
