Finally! My 2004 350Z Base Coupe.
After a couple weeks worth of research and what appears to be a rare stroke of luck, I found and purchased this 2004 350Z Base Coupe with 26181 original miles. Garage-kept, clean Carfax, sold by couple expecting second child.

I'm stoked, as the kids say.

Quite a find,my man!
Its essentially a new car.
Do you mind telling what you paid?
A couple of things to look at...possibly with the
super low miles,it has the original Bridgestone tires.
Also,do to the tire feathering problem the 03-04 cars
had,they may have been replaced under warranty and
the alignment fixed by a dealer.I'd check for cracks due the
tires just being old.
Good luck and have fun with your Z.I remember being stoked when
I bought mine!

Thanks for the thanks, everybody.
I paid $14,500 for it. That's just shy of NADA clean retail for the age but three main factors led me to buy this one at a premium rather than some less expensive or younger alternatives:
-first, after much investigation, it appeared to be a true, garage-kept, sunny-weekends-only car, absolutely like new with a clean Carfax, all service records, etc.;
- the sellers were a successful young husband and wife with a second baby on the way, and I generally prefer to put money into private sellers' pockets than dealerships';
-next, it was Pikes Peak White, and I've always been a sucker for three-stage white pearls;
-finally, and most importantly in a monetary sense, it had 4 new Kuhmo Ecsta ASX tires with less than 1000 miles on them.
To be certain, I found newer models for the same money and 2004 models for much less, but this one was EXACTLY what I wanted, I trusted the source and I pulled the trigger.
One day into things, I couldn't be happier.

Congratulations! Enjoy it for sure! I had a similar situation for finding my Z...
Searched for several months, knew exactly what I wanted, and waited to pull the trigger on just the right car. I ended up driving to just above Pittsburg to get mine (from southwest VA it was a bit of a hike), where I found a single owner, garage kept, low milage 2006 Track. Owner bought it when he was dating his now wife, and they have 2 kids with a 3rd on the way. I was happy to support them over a dealership. Later came to find out we both used to play in punk bands, and played several of the same venues around DC and Baltimore. Small world for sure.
Anyway, awesome find! Have a blast with it!

Congrats, glad it worked out, and kudos for doing your homework first.
If you stick around on these forums, should we start placing bets on how long before the first upgrade?
Oh, and by the way, I approve of this color.

Oh no, not the mod questions already!
I want to keep it as close to stock as possible for the time-being, until I feel properly educated, you know?
But it's a matter of if, not when, I start tweaking here and there.
So far, my tiny little mod list is:
-little interior bits like a shift ****, trunk mat, etc;
-a chin spoiler
-forged wheels (maybe);
-TEIN suspension upgrades;
-brake upgrade (Wilwood, Stop Tech, Brembo if I can afford it);
-Nismo LSD (maybe);
-it's a daily driver and I don't really need more power, but I might think about a tuned exhaust and a plenum spacer in a year or two.
As for now, I have an irritating little popping noise from the right rear suspension during low speed left turns. Off to the search bar!
