Default Afghanistan bought me my Z.

Well, indirectly.

I got back from a 9 month tour in Afghanistan about a month ago.
And, long story short, I've always wanted a 350z. So I bought one.

2003 250z Touring. 90k miles.

She might have been someone else's baby first, but she's mine now.

There is no horrendous look scratch/paint swap on the driver's door. I'm guessing weird reflection that I didn't notice at the time.

I'm not going to lie, it sounds like your car was indirectly more expensive than mine.

I'm so happy I wasn't around to go to Vietnam, and have all the more respect for the men who were.

Note. There is no giant scratch or something on the driver's side door. I'm guessing weird reflection.

Thank you for your service soldier and congrats on the Z.

Looks like you have some aftermarket brake rotors already.

The rotors are just what were on there when I bought it. As of right now I haven't touched anything. Trying to budget a set of wheels.

Well I def got to mod it. I kind of plan to use to to help me learn all the things about cars I should already know.

First thing I'm doing is wheels. So I've learned a ton about offsets and tire sizes etc. finally settled on 18x9.5 all the way around +15 offset with 275/40/18 in the rear and 255/40/18 in the front

My fiancee has said she might buy me a plenum spacer for my wedding gift. We're getting married in December.

And I need to do more research and decide if I want to keep stock intake with the K&N i put in or if I want a JWT or Stillen.

All that and exhaust I hope to have done before my birthday (January).

Long term plans however, I want to look more into the 4.07L strokers and a TT. But I've got a lot to learn between now and then.

Man, I just love this car. Never even driven anything like it.

I had a 2000 Ford contour when I was 16
Got an Impala like 3 months later when I wrecked that.
Then about a year after that I got a Lancer OZ Rally when I wrecked the impala.
Gave that to my sister about 2 years ago and got a Hyundai Elantra (never again)
It broke down on me right before I went to Afghanistan, and the deployment gave men plenty of money to buy a nice car that will last and actually be fun to own.

So now I have a 350

For the record I'm over 5 years with no wrecks now. Along with having received Offensive/Defensive driver's training, and driving a Suburban in afghanistan for 9 months.
So the 350 is at little to no risk of my streak of wrecking cars when i first started driving.

lol on the Elantra. I don't really do much in the line of cars, and never got a vehicle coming back from a combat tour. But I definitely believe it's deserved!

Who do you serve with and what rank?

Lol yea I don't know what I was thinking about the Elantra. Its still taking up my garage, because the city gets really bitchy about it sitting in the driveway and never moving, and I'm moving in under a month I don't know what to do with it.

I'm in the Army Infantry and I'm a SPC or E4 promotable.

The ones I'm probably going to get are the Enkei Kojins.

As much as I'd love a set of Volk TE37, I just can't justify spending that money on wheels right now when there is so much more I could do to the car with the extra. And from what I understand Enkei makes really solid wheels anyway.

Use it on rainy days when you don't want to mess the looks of the Z. That paint is BEAUTIFUL!

The Elantra does not run lol, and I'm not entirely sure whats wrong with it.

And, nice, I served with a bunch of marines in Afghanistan.
Thats terribly worded. But as in we were on the same base, and even ran a few missions together.
