old owner put an 05 instake on my 03z

any reason for this? took the z to the dealer and they bought a mass air flow to put in and said it didnt fit do to the year differnce. if i told you everything the dumb a** did to the poor car before i bought it your prolly call me stupid for buying it. but ill post about it later. anyone know of a reason somone would do this?

No diff. dealer is full of crap.

03 to 06 are nearly identical in the engine bay. 03 to 05 even more so.

1 maf with only 1 part number on 03 to 06

'03 to '05 air boxes were exactly the same. The '06 air box came with a velocity stack and is generally considered to be the best but the MAF is the same on all models. Your dealer is on a diet of Bullsquirt, send him a free loo roll for his troubles.
