New Silverstone Z33 owner from NJ!
Hey there, my name is Nico. I'm the proud new owner of an '04 Silverstone 350Z Base. Got the car for ridiculously cheap with a ridiculous amount of problems. Not new to Nissan at all, coming from (and currently still have) a 1991 S13 240sx. As of right now, the car sits under a car cover and I'm addicted to looking at it as I cannot drive it reliably due to motor issues. Previous owner is female and admittedly did not take care of the car AT ALL! Interior and Exterior are "meh" condition for a Z33. Motor had been oil starved in the past and rod knocks after reaching operating temperature. Before it does start knocking, though, it has the beautiful Z purr! I'm leaning towards an oil pump issue due to this.
Basically joined the forum after lurking and dreaming throughout the years for a Z to gain more knowledge and expertise from experienced owners. Current plans are to try and save the current motor or worst case swap a new VQ in, preferably a Rev-Up version or an HR. Seems an 04 longblock would be the most simple straightforward swap. Also planning on a very slight drop using a spring/shock setup to maintain comfort as well as lightweight one piece wheels in a square 18' setup. Most likely TE37 or Advan TC3, who knows. I also really enjoy looking at the Nismo aero (NOT the factory Nismo 350Z lol). Anyway, here's a few pics!

Borrowed the front wheels since my S13's rear tires are bald haha doesn't look too too bad on R33's

The S13 I'm coming from

SR20DET, full suspension, welded diff, roll cage, Bride seats, blah blah.
You can take a wild guess what I use this car for!

Thanks for the pic showing the change in front wheels. This really illustrates how a wheel change can change the overall look of a Z.The stock 17's get real boring fast.
Good luck with your Z!
