ok guys here we go.... im new to the world of 350z and so happy to be here..... so lets look at how i got here.. my last car was a s14 zenki i swapped a rb25det into it and did just about every upgrade 240s have to offer.. i am a drifter and after living in florida for 2 years now i decided i couldnt survive any longer without air conditioning lol i sold my s14 for 11k and purchased an 04 350z for 5500 it needed some work... i now have it all fixed up and running perfect and i love everything about the car so far, the biggest problem? its vastly underpowered by nissan.... im a very very very experienced mechanic with group of friends who have done it all, we have every tool we could need and love to help eachother out. So my question is, im now looking into the idea of how i want to make my power goals.... i want to make 400-450hp out of my 350z i have a budget to do this of about 8k and growing every week, i have a good job and dont mind working and waiting to make these goals happen but im hung up on a decision should i swap in an ls1 and take a na approach for now? or should i replaced the engine in my z with a built longblock from z fever in tampa fl and go with a turbo or supercharger.... from my experience in the 240sx world i am aware that a turbo will make more power although after running a huge turbo on my rb25 im sour about turbo lag therefor for the drifting world im leaning towards a stillen or procharger supercharger.... i live within 100 miles of z fever who love the idea of taking my money to build my z so even if the project was more than i could handle they can handle it the basicly question is what will cost me more to get 400hp an ls1 swap or a vq35det?? im sorry if i seem nooby im just very new to the 350z so far i have done.... new paint job bc coilovers full stance suspension (control arms, camber arms etc) this will be my daily except days i drive my cbr so keep that in mind so thats the question ls1 na or vq35de built and turbo or supercharged??? please give opnions and if your under 18 years old just go kill yourself lol

im well aware of things like.... the nice turbo/supercharged sounds etc the only thing im interested in knowing is the reliability of a turbo/supercharged built vq35de and gas mileage, the difficulty of an ls1 swap using something like a sikky kit ls1+t56 problems i may run into that one with experience in this routes could tell me? the idea is to make 400-450 whp RELIABLY! i know these power goals are small for either an ls1 or a built vq35de so reliability should be easy to accomplish as far as tuning goes if i stay with a vq it will be tuned by martin at z fever so please no comments about how a turbo setups reliability is determined by the tuner as i have one of the best nissan tuners in the usa

also done an rb25det swap before with the s14 and although it is amazing for an s14 the 350z weighs alot more than the s14 so not interested in doing either an rb25 or a 2jz in the 350z there are only 2 choices ls1/ls2/ls6 or keeping the vq and building it for boost via a greddy twin kit or stillen procharger or vortech kit
