Default Hello from Toronto.......New Z owner here.

Hi everybody! (Dr nick voice)

My name is sam and I have an addiction, I am a die-hard gearhead!!!

Well let me start by saying that I have been lurking on this site for a lil bit while looking for my Z, a lot of quality info on here to help me out, I have been in the market for a Z for a while now and as of last weekend I took my dive, deal was to good to pass up.

I had a budget of around 7500 and ended up getting mine for much less then that, it is a 2003 350z track package.

It has a few issues that I am going to deal with since I have some coin to play with I will get the maintenance out of the way.

Took her for a drive on Sunday and I must say I fell in love

Cons:
-Driver seat has a small cigarette burn and a rip on the left bolster....I need a replacement seat BTW lol.
-Currently has 3 codes but nothing I cant deal with as I have ordered what I need to fix it already. P0021 Intake cam position timing over-advanced (bank 2), P0300 Random misfire, P0171 System too lean (bank 1).
-TPS aren't working and I have the tire light on.

I'm looking into turning her into a wide grippy *****, these are the wheel and tire specs i'm looking on going with.

18x10.5 +0 305/35/18 Rear
18x10.5 +15 285/35/18 Front

She will be setup for street and track.

Here are a few crappy cell pics of her, il get a few better ones shortly.

This was the night I brought her home.

This is a better pic I took the day of my drive, I had a blast, still crappy.

You're going to definitely lose some performance swapping out those OEM track wheels (which are super light and strong) for aftermarket wheels that may weigh 10 pounds more each. Choose wisely.

Thanks fellas.

I will definitely add that zcon meet to my calendar looks like it will be fun.

As for the wheels weight I'm pretty sure it will be fine, the wheels I'm going with are rated at 19.05lbs which isn't that far from my track wheels [F] 18.188lbs. [R] 18.629lbs.

Welcome aboard... 305s in the back will be good for a sold 4 months of the year in the great white north... Sounds sweet post pics when you get them...

( I wouldn't blame you for keeping those track wheels though. They are sweet )

Congrats and welcome to the family.

Keep those wheels as wall ornaments if you really want to go with a new set. Those OEM wheels are hard to find, so keep them around just in case.

Thanks again, I can't wait to bring her out for some spirited driving lol.

Track wheels are staying with the car il sell off the other set of wheels I got with the car if I need to but doubt it.

Got some time today to go over her and make a detailed list of things to do.

Repair and maintenance list:

-Change all fluids
-Fix engine light issues.............Got rid of 2 cel's now only have P0171 and P0021 left, parts arrive on Friday.
-Install new gas door release.
-Repair left window regulator.
-Adjust e-brake.
-Repair tire pressure sensors.
-Change right rear wheel bearing......................Removed tire and turns out it had camber wear and a huge chunk missing, new tire installed noise gone!.

Then I plan on just enjoying her for the summer and maybe do a few mods.

Can someone use a caliper and measure the pin that holds the gas door shut?

My actuator is working but the pin snapped off right at the end of it, so i'm thinking about drilling it out and putting in a metal pin to replace that plastic bit, i will keep it in there with some JB.

I pretty much need this, its already broken worst that can happen is i need to buy a new one.

Thanks, now I just need to figure out the length needed and she's ready to go, if I can't find it on here il just figure it out when I throw her back on the car.

It was super easy drill and a bit of jb weld.
