i recently bought my wife a 2004 305z roadster touring convertible auto.
with the orange leather inter, upgraded sway bars, sitting on 19" nissmo black wheels......

i am now in search for my ride. she will be my daily, as well as a weekend fun track car. Any suggestions on models/years/packages/ etc would be awesome! budget 10-15k for the right/clean one

You should be able to find a very nice '07-08 for that money, and with reasonable mileage. There are a lot of advantages to the later Z's, not the least of which is the HR engine, and some disadvantages, too, like the clutch hydraulics. Keep your eyes open, be patient, and see what's out there.
