hey thanks for the post, there are a lot of wide open spaces to open the car up without endangering the public, but rarely go 10 mp over the speed limit.mainly bought the car as a reliable car since my second home is 1400 mi away

Hello everybody in 350z land. After lusting over the lines on the 350z for more than 10 years I bought a 04 350 that has twin turbos installed. I have been lurking on the forum for a while and am ready to step in to the shark infested water, and talk with some nice people. I have so many questions, most have been answered by the new owner post.
The car came up on ebay . It is burnt orange(my favorite color) and was a good price. The added bonus was, of course, the twin turbo kit,and the added stuff that comes with the upgrade. Its a 04
, had 90,000 on the od. and the car dealer that had it listed assured me that it was in good condition and was a dream to drive.
A week later im driving it home at one in the morning on the freeway going 160 mph. the car is great, its fast, runs great, and boy do I get the looks.
Here is the thing, I know a little about cars, but turbos and such don't have any experience with. here are some general questions.
1. I know these cars come stock with 280 or so hp, and the car has a greaddy tt kit on it, which can add between 150 and 200 hp. is this correct? is it save to assume its over 450 hp? I think its the touring edition before anyone asks.
2 its got a boost guage and it was working till I took it to auto zone for a check engine light (bad o2 sensor) and now its not, but the boost wasn't getting over 5 pounds. I read that you don't want to go over 20 unless you sleeve the cylinders. is this right? that's it for now, look forward to hearing from everyone ......

I personally would take it to a shop that does tuning and get a once over. You don't know anything about turbos or anything about who installed the kit and tuned your car.

^ Do that... you are going to have a bad time with that thing, and there is more than likely other things wrong with it. Get it looked over by a professional. Next time I highly recommend a ppi if you buy something on the internet. Just call a local shop and pay over the phone.

Sweet find Brian! I love that burnt orange color on the Z.
Im sure you will have a blast with the TT set up. Rearranged is right though, take that bad boy to a good tuner shop and have them check over the turbos, manifolds, air/fuel ratios to make sure you aren't running too rich or especially not too lean. They can also tell you how much boost it is set up for and definitely get that boost gauge working so you can keep an eye on it. I would get at least a wide band A/F gauge or an EGT gauge so you can keep an eye on that as well.
Have fun!
