i just bought an 03 which needs a replacement headlamp assembly

i have the actual original bill of sale with the car whcih reads xenon headlights

how do i tell wether i have HID or halogen...

is there an easy way , or what ?

 

The HID bulbs, which are the low beams only, take a second or two to reach full brightness, but the halogen high beams are bright immediately. Post a pic of your car.

 

Input your VIN into the VIn Decoder on this site. That will tell you what trim level your car is.

All trims but base have HID standard.

 

You will also have a warning sticker on your radiator support that tells you not to get electrocuted and kill yourself by licking your bulbs while your battery is still hooked up.

 

See if you have a ballast mounted under the headlight
