Talking New to forum, just bought NISMO # 540

I was looking for a Grand touring 2007 used or new in autotrader when I came upon an add. It was a 2007 Redline NISMO USED with 283 miles. I e-mailed and then couldn't wait and called them. (Infiniti Dealer). I made an appointment to test drive ( with deposit) the car and it is now mine. Plastic still on pedals and many areas, no dents or scratches, garage kept for a few months and was then traded for a new G37! The dealer said this guy trades every few months and has many specialty cars and garages to store these in. I talked to him (prior owner)on the phone today and he invited me over to see his current collection.
I will pick up car tomorrow after they remove the spacer blocks from the coils _thanks forum. I am one happy middle aged guy! $ 32750 plus dealer fee $445https://my350z.com/forum/images/smilies/icon18.gifhttps://my350z.com/forum/images/smilies/cool.gif

wow... so one minute he wanted a hunkered down, track car...then the next he wanted a softer car with 2 more seats? that's a complete 180 turn as far as car preference...

in any case CONGRATS!

Don't forget to mosey to the Nismo sub-forum to register.

Cool Nimso reply

I had driven the grand touring and fell in love. My wife actually sent me to look at Z's as I was leaning toward a 2008 corvette. I loved the drive experience of the Z much more and a lot more affordable - so far. The feeling of total control when driving was amazingly different than the corvette. She preferred the red color so a search began and this is what we found. I am very excited as I have seen only one at a dealer lot a few miles away and it was sold as we looked at it. There is one black one I spotted at the Jacksonville Nissan dealer in Florida yesterday on Atlantic Blvd. Your forum helped me get a better deal on this unit with the blocks in the coil as the owner thought something was wrong with the suspension and it would pop and grind on hard bumps. The service manager and I wnet out to the car after the papers were signed and slightly lifted the car and there they were - all shiny and black on the coils. It was worth the 100+ mile away trip to the dealer!

Question Link to Nismo 553

I down loaded the link to the car. I could not include pics, it wanted a link instead of a file on the drop down in the menu bar. Any help? #553

Congrats. I can't believe dealers are still leaving the spacers in these cars!

Update : Car had coils removed but the service shop guy ran over a bolt in the shop and the front tire was damaged. I have to wait until Saturday to pick up car as they had to special order the tire and send it out to get mounted and balance to a pro performance shop. Bummer!!! The number the dealer now tells me is # 540 not # 533. I will take a pic and post on Saturday when i Pick up. I checked the car and no damage to area or front spoiler. I will inspect rim of wheel when it gets back. They were too nervous to mount that tire /wheel combo so they sent it to a custom race shop that handles RAYS rims and Potenza tires. Got a free tire wheel warranty out of this though.
