Sunday at the autocross I talked to fellow competitor with a carbon fibre hood who mentioned that his stock 07 hood weighed less than his new carbon fibre hood and that all 07 350Zs had an aluminum hood.After the event I touched a magnet to the hood and it didn't attract so apparently what he said is true.

 

My '05 has an aluminum hood. Tried to put my favorite college mascot's magnet emblem on. Slid right off!

 

stock hood is aluminum. Its pointless to get a CF hood for weight reduction on the Z

 

Stock hood on all Z33's is Aluminum , probably what you meant, just putting it out there.

 

I thought the hood was aluminum....but are the rest of the panels the same ?

 

No such luck,my magnetic numbers and class letters stick everywhere else.

 

I wish , unless i had to pay out of pocket for damage repair.
