If you dont want to read it all, they chose the 350 over the Honda.

Thanks. I wasn't putting you down man. You summarized in one sentence... that's all. I did read it and here's what I got:

"On this tight course the cars are near equals, but on a fast track the Z is sure to out-perform. It's more fun to drive the Honda, but the Nissan is quicker. Life is full of difficult decisions, but I'd opt for the a/c, stereo and extra power that come standard with the Z."

He picks the Z because of it having a radio and AC. Hmmmmm.

No worries. Sorry man, I get edgy on this forum.

I didnt know the 2000 didnt come with a/c either. Thats downright pathetic. They did write they enjoy the benefit of the power of Z over the 2000 though, (thank God).

Sounds like you're a fan. So, in a nutshell. would you choose the S2000 over the Z?

Thats cool. I never drove one. Might try it out this weekend though. Just for sh*ts and giggles. I doubt I would ever own one. Like you said, the torque difference. And the lines of the Z....its like silk.

plus the fact that if you remove the hardtop there is nowhere to store it in the car. so you will get pwned if rain decides to poke it's ugly head.

I like the CR, but not as much as my own car.

For a dedicated track car , i'll take the CR. For duel duty , Z hands down.

Ha ha!

The fully-equipped Z still beat the stripped and more race-ready S.

I saw two production cars, a Z and an S on Tsukuba. The Z not only caught the S (while passing other cars) but began to pull away.

i just traded in my 2006 S2000 last week for a nismo 350. i had the honda hardtop and a mugen exhaust on my S. now, i'm following the book on the Z so i'm still keeping it under 4K on the revs. i'll say this about the 2 cars. it was really really hard to part with the S. the turn in is so sharp, it changes direction so quickly in comparison, even to the nismo. now i had almost 14K miles on the S and barely 400 on the Z. i will say the S inspired more confidence even in the first few weeks of ownership. the gearbox on the S is everything you've read...it's a dream. but the Z...has such nice power (even low). i can't wait to see what it's like fully unwound. the nismo is so dang tight. i agree with the magazine, i think in most situations the nismo is the faster car. but the S is a lot of fun. overall, i'm very, very pleased with my switch. you'll never see me talking smack about S2000's though.
