Idk when I see pics of those cop cars I think about all the car chases I've ever seen. I maybe can recall ONE car chase involvin a mustang, and even with shitty crown vics they managed the pit manuver multiple times but the guy was a good driver and recovered. Might not have been a mustang I could be wrong, anyhow what is the need for all these super fast cars besides wasting tons of gas patroling and writing tickets? Maybe people run in fast cars in the Europe, I have no idea, but in the states I've never seen or read about it really. Tax payers money down the drain. The best case are the chargers in nyc...

These days with radio, busy traffic and all sorts - there is no excuse for the Police to be riding around in more than a 30K car.
It's a total waste of taxpayers money.
Basically they are not setting a good example at all, just showing what toal ricers and street racers they are themselves.
I've never seen one of those cars (from the UK) driving at a sensible speed, even when running sans lights and sirens. They are always dicking around and going fast.
In the US, I just see the usual Crown Vic's and occasionally a nice(ish) state patrol car. That's just Texas (Houston) though - I'm sure there are some wastes of money somewhere around here...

^^^I dont think its a waste of taxpayer money, per se. All of the cars you see on the road that belong to either a local, county, state or federal municipalities are on either a state or federal contract and get the vehicles for A LOT less than what we, as John Q Public, would pay, or anything that is confiscated in any event involving a felony, if I am not mistaken, could be taken by the police. As someone said before, there are a lot of luxury cars that are being used by the local and state police departments for the DARE programs that were confiscated in felony arrests.

The cops definetly speed for no reason in those cars lol. I guess the only upside is theyre probably a much bigger deterant for chases. Would probably think twice before thinking you could easily outrun the cars posted.
