Whats the offset on the Rays nismo rims? Whats the max tire width one can go? 285 or 295? Does anyone use spacers? If so what size?
I have always liked the look of fat tires on a Z and any extra bite on the pavement will be beneficial to future mods!

The offset is +30 for both front and rear.
You should be able to fit 285s just fine in the rear with stock height or stock Nismo height. With 295s though, I'd be concerned with rubbing.
Silverstone is incorrect about the offset and VDC. Just as long as you stay within a certain range, you can up-size tires without upsetting VDC. 255/40/18s in the front tend to have a larger sidewall though. They work fine, but don't look as good IMO

The RE050As are superior to the T1Rs. Not familiar with the Nitros. Personally, I would switch out both the front and rear together or switch out the rears for the same Bridgestones.
If it's just for show, doesn't matter, but increasing the stagger will also increase understeer.
You have a Nismo Z right, so the 245/285s or 295s shouldn't effect TCS. Someone with VDC would have issues though.

I believe my VOLK GTM will look really HOT on my NISMO.
Front = 19x9.5 +23 w/ Michelin Pilot Sport 2 245/35R19
Rear = 19x10.5 +21 w/ Michelin Pilot Sport 2 275/35R19
But these tires are really so expensive compared to other brands...

if you have a setup F/245-45-18 R/265-40-18
and you want to run wider tires, then you need to change the width equally front to rear. F/265-40-18 R/285-35-18
Also note the change in the series or profile, 20mm up in width should equal a 5% lower number for your profile.
And to answer your first question, I think 285's in the rear will work well, but I also think you should match the front tires.

I will say that more interested in looking than performance........so.....
I will just go with the stock for a while I guess, then when I am tired of them, I will take the stock off and put the GTMs...

Anyways, thanks for your attention Clark~~~
