Default Quantity of Nismos?

I have a friend who is really close to buy a nismo Z. I am trying my best to convince him. Anyways he wanted to know how many Limited edition NISMO Z's are being made per year. I see different numbers from 800-1500. Does anyone know a true answer for this?

There was a number of 1500 floating around that isn't an official word from Nissan. They never officially said how many they are going to make, but it should be less than %10 of the total production run from 2007. Since they bled production of them into the '08 model year, who knows.

I don't think we will officially know how many total until they stop building the Z33 and switch the production line over to the Z34. Which, according to rumor, should be this year.

Hahah. Sounds like our "limited edition" Z's aren't going to be too uncommon. I'd imagine every single one of the 1 year special colors (such as Ultra Yellow, Brickyard, Solar Orange, etc) is going to be more rare and the most rare Z car will end up being the '06 Track model.

At least we don't have 35th anniversary models. I'd still be pissed about that.

The limited edition thing was never really a big deal to me, but almost twice the expected amount. That's a little disappointing.

To what I've heard, The 1500 NISMO's that are coming to the U.S. are ranging from 2007 MY to 2008 MY. (model year) Even though NISSAN are manufacturing more than that, only 1500 will make it here. Not sure though.

It would be a little disapointing if they make thousands of them, but I suppose if they sell well we've only got ourselves to blame

I'm happy though - for me it was never about making money on a limited edition car, it was more about the fact that it was better than a standard Z.

I have number 0012 too, so that will still be worth a little pride

If they do make them pretty much "non special" and they are 3 a penny in Houston, it'll just make me want to mod it more.

At the moment I would like to keep it as stock as possible but will maybe move towards FI once it's common as muck.

It doesn't really matters to me how many NISMO Z they will produce. As long as ours has the plaque which says the # on it then I am more than happy with that. This means that ours Nismo Z are UNIQUE in every sense, no?

I don't think that there will be any other plaque that reads #300 as mine, right? Therefore I am more than happy and feel that our NISMO are UNIQUEEEEE~~~~~

I wouldnt be surprised if Nissan made more than 1500 but only sent 1500 here to the US. If you look at this thread, you'll see this guy brought one in the UK and it doesnt have a plaque.

https://my350z.com/forum/nismo-350z/334587-my-version-nismo-with-no-number-plaque.html

And I would like to see pic's of #1462... I just find it hard to believe that they are already up to that number....
