Default 07 nismo with stock rims powder coated black

i recently had this rim redone do to hitting a curb. i had it powder coated black, what do you think? i had a question about the powder coat process and heating up the forged wheel. i had a wheel manufacturer do the powder coat. they heat the wheel up the same amount for powder as they do for wet paint.

Don't like man. Sorry. Now it just blends in with the rest of the car. When it was the color of the body kit you at least could see it.

Maybe have the lip polished or something might help.

I tried it with the lip polished and it looked horrible on the car. i think the stock color is to light. it isnt as dark as the body kit is. i thought about getting it a darker grey. just couldnt find one that really looked good with the car.

Most shops that do powder coating are aware that forged parts needed to be cured at a lower temp.... since yours were powdered at a wheel manufacturer I would have no worries.

Rims look good. Congrats.

At first look, I'm not really that big of a fan. Generally I don't like gloss-black rims and prefer a more "satin" look (but I don't think that would really look right either). But how about you post up a picture of the overall look of the car.

Sometimes the details don't really look good, but the overall effect is quite nice.

I've always been a fan of black rims, looks good. post up some more pics so we can get the full effect of how it looks on the car. oh and in the end it only matters what you think, if you like it then great.

I only got the back one done so far. it was a test to see if it looked good. I'll have the rest done by next Friday, then I can post full pics. In person it looks great. Everyone who compares the black to the front stock gl likes the black way better. The brembo brakes look so much better with the black rims.

I like it. I'd like to see more pics, including full side shots of the whole car, so we can see the overall effect.
