I got my car serviced at West Covina Nissan, I told the service rep, Steven, that i bought it new and the badge had this damage. He got the VIN#, took pictures of the badge and called nissan, nissan said there isnt a part number for it yet, but will have one soon. He said he will keeping checking with nissan to check on the status.

I just notice that mine got some scratches too.
The placement of the serial badge could have been better elsewhere.

There's a new bulletin for this- The dealer verifies the car, removes the plate, and sends it in to Nissan & they make another one. They will not send one up front.

My nismo number plate got scratched up when my new head unit was installed also. So today I went through the proccess of getting another one. I took it off and gave it to my parts manager. He filled out the order form and sent it off. He had to fill in the car number, VIN, and customer information. The bulletin mentioned something about having to verify the information in their customer database and and to send in the damaged plate to "ensure the integrity of the ordering proccess" or something like that. I guess they are serious about these things getting into "the wrong hands" LOL. Also it said that it might take up to four weeks for me to get it back. List price is $185! Good thing Im not paying for it. LOL

the badge itself is a brushed aluminum, and the lettering is (engraved) polished aluminum.

Got my number plate back today. They ship it directly from Autech in Japan! It comes already stuck to the console insert. So I just popped the old one out and put the new one in.
