Default License Plate

I just bought my Nismo last thursday, so I'll be getting my plates eventually ( ). For you Nismo owners, how did you mount the plates, did you use the brackets they (the dealership) gave you for the front, or did you do some other way.

P.S. I live in Jersey, so I have to mount it on the front, which sucks. I wanted to look cool. Plates are not cool.

Lol yea I used the brackets the dealer gave me and threw the Nismo frame around it.

I think it looks pretty good. I am so glad I have the plate now living in MA. I was really pissed at frist about the MA law and told the dealer not to put it on, but after some persuasion from my parents telling me a car like that "is a target" and blah blah blah I put it on. And thank god I did.

I find that everytime I drive by a cop they stare the car down. Maybe just like everyone else it just catches their eye, but I am sure if they are out to get you just for the type of car it give them an easy exuse.

I don't mean to bump my own thread, but I've made the decision to mount my plates...

because I got ticketed for not having them. Car's just about a week old and I got three tickets at once today. It was all sorts of gay.

That sucks man. I have no front plate on my car and have not had a front plate on my any car i had in like 7 years. For the longest time CT didnt have a front plate law, but like 5 or 6 years ago they changed that. But since like 50% of the population still drive around with no front plates so cops kinda, wave it off. Knock on wood.

But in the event of.....does anyone know if Stillens front plate bracket work with out front fascia's? Cause that would be the BEST option for a mount IMO. No damage. The OEM front plate bracket really mutilates the front end.

I called Stillen and asked if they had one that fit on the Nismo and the guy said, "We havent tried". So I measured it myself and the one that they make that is the right width is an inch too short.

http://www.*********.com/zwiki/Front_Plate_Bracket

I found this article, it's informative, not sure if it's the same as that stillen bracket. I just don't want to scratch up the front bumper with the shitty mounting bracket you get from the dealership.

EDIT: Apparently they don't like this website. It's 350z. Hyphen, Tech. For those wondering. Again, I'm not meaning to break any rules, I just find the article to be informative.

Also, Jersey, represent.

Kind of like I said two posts up, the Stillen bracket doesnt work with a Nismo Z.

Make your own.

This is roughly what I did, 22mm x 200mm bolt.
I bought the aluminum at HD and the bolt at Fastenal.
