Default So a police officer pulled up next to me...

A short story I want to share with you guys.

I was driving to the supermarket when I notice a black Z behind me and they were girls. So I told my friend to check them out. Then my friend say forget the girls but there is a cop next to my window asking me to roll down my window. I turned to my side and was like (what did I do now? Is checking out girls a crime now? ).

The officer ask me if I don't mind pulling over "to talk". I was a little confuse and ask the officer about what. He say he have some question about my Z. I mean what would you guys do? I told him that I am on my way to the supermarket which was a few lights down. I offered if he is still interested -- he can meet/follow me there. So the officer follow me to the supermarket parking lot.

Basically he just wanted to check out the car and have a few questions regarding the spec. etc. He seem to be genuinely interested and say that he have a Vette and love fast sport car. He suggested that I should take it to the track sometime and say he don't want to waste anymore of my time. He then thank me for chatting with him and left. People was looking at us wondering what is going on.

I know our Z attract all sort of people -- from thieves to enthusiast. The Z is a unique special car huh?

Awesome.

A state trooper next to me at a red light asked me if I wanted to race.

I said nah and laughed, he did too. When the light turned green, I drove normal but did leaned forward and kept looking back at him as if we were racing. He laughed and then floored it. I went the speed limit

I had this happen when I had my Elise except he used the lights and pulled me over like something was up. Then he comes to my window and says, "Is this a Lotus Elise!" I said, "Yes." He says, "I have never seen one before!" I say, " Well, now you have, what's the problem--what did I do wrong?" It turns out, I did nothing wrong (for once) he just wanted to see the car. We talked a while and he gave me his card and said that if I ever got "really" pulled over to just give the officer his card and he would do what he could.
And that my friends is one of the reason I dumped the Elise to get a little more anonymous car--I guess I failed.

makes no sense at all..

Well, this may start a flame war..But
I had a story similar to this..

About 3 weeks ago I was riding with a buddy of mine(on sportbikes) in a very rich area of town and we both had expired plates, and it turns out I somehow had a suspended license..The motorcycle cop behind me pulled me over..Remind you I am an avid open carry activist and had a glock23 at my waist..He was one of the nicest officers I have ever encountered. I told him how I was going out for LVMPD in the next few years and we chatted about bikes and stuff, and he basicly let me go without a ticket or going to jail and having my bike impounded..Pretty legit!
