New car and new here
Just purchased #0100, 2007 Nismo Redline Red with high end "invisible bra" applied from spoiler all the way back to mirrors. Invoice says $2000.00 job.
5041 miles on it here in San Diego. Hard top with show room paint and interior, total garage queen. New "upgraded" clutch and throwout bearing just done 200 miles ago at dealer under warranty.
Dealer is also going to install blue tooth equipped radio/CD and give me the existing one after the swap.
Piad 29 which I thought was a little high but got a very good deal on the Benz I traded and this car is really a "cream puff."
Funny I've had more comments, some good and some nasty, on this car in one week than other Porsches, M3s, Benzs and other nice cars I've had.
One of my girl friends had a 350Z and I hear that same what we called in "Bimmers" the "death rattle" in the clutch/tranny. Plus it shifted like a truck. This one feels much lighter and smoother on the clutch and linkage. I have read a lot on the tech forums about this problem. I do most of my own work and my best guess is it's just gear lash?
We'll see. It is one one the most fun cars I've driven and definitely gets the most heads turning.
I got interested in rice burners after buying my girl friend a 2000 Toyota Celica GTSlast year. That car is rockin'. I was surprised to find it shares the same engine and drive trans as the Lotus Elise.
I don't plan to beat it, much, HEH HEH. Look forward to spending some time in the forums.
Ciao...
