NISMO 350Z Registry
I have contacted four different Nissan dealerships in three states.... all have ran the VIN and have confirmed that it is a REAL Nismo!!!!! However.... none of these dealers are able or willing to tell me what the serial number to my car is.... So.... once again I will ask....... Is there a database/ list cross reference or anything vaguely similar that matches VIN numbers to car serial numbers?????

I'm surprised that the dealers couldn't tell you. I haven't heard anything about a database comparing serial numbers to VIN's but if I were you I would contact Nissan North America, not a dealer. Other NISMO owners have gotten info on what plants their cars were produced in and other miscellaneous info from talking to them. If anyone should be able to tell you your serial number it's them. I just thought of something else... You could run an autocheck on your car and track down the original owner possibly... Or find a paper trail to the original dealer that sold the car. They could probably confirm your serial number.

Just for ***** and giggles I called Nismo USA again today.... I spoke with "Scott" a Manager whom I've spoken to before.... He told me that he had some "good" news for me since the last time we talked... It appears that all is not lost! He told me that i will be able to order the replacement "Plaque" for my car. However my local dealer must submit the paperwork in my behalf ?!?..... I was on the phone with you??? hello??? Anyway there appears to be a light at the end of the tunnel finally....
I hope this journey is almost over and it doesn't drag out for another 6 months?!?
Apparently the serial/Vin number "list" IS a highly guarded file !!!!! Just like the secret recipe for KFC chicken!!!!

I went to my local dealer today and tried to order my "new" Nismo plaque. talked to the parts guy and we filled out the paperwork... He made a couple of phone calls and emails. put the paperwork in a fedex envelope and sent it off to Nissan.... He told me that its just a waiting game now but that I would be getting it! Woohoo!!!!!!!
Quivering with anticipation!!!!!!!

Called the number and was told that the local parts dealers can help me. It doesn't help that the customer service agent doesn't know what a specialty number plate isor NISMO numbered plate means.
Bottom Line:
Old plate shipped to Nissan: 12/4/13 with confirmed receipt
It's been over 10 weeks since they shipped my old plate.
UPDATE: While waiting for my Murano to get serviced, I talked to Mike the parts manager at Jeff Schmitt Nissan about my replacement plate. He told me there's no news and that they sent 2 e-mail to the e-mail address listed but received no response. He told me he will call his regional manager and recommended me to call 1-800-Nissan-1.

Same story here too.... I talked to my local Nissan dealer and talked to the parts counterman. He had sent numerous e-mails with no replies....
Was hoping to have it before the Nismo Fiesta 2014. But..... Its not looking promising.....
Had I known that this would have been an issue. I would've kept the scratched plate...
