Does anyone use a V1 in their Nismo?

If so does the rear wing block the rear facing antenna from working correctly?

 

dude, we're talking about the V1, the best radar... if the rear was that narrow, you think it would still be the best radar?

yes, i have the v1, been using it for 8 years now.

 

^? I have no idea, on the website it seems like the beam is pretty small and you have to mount it on the top of your windshield to get good readings, so I figure the wing could potentially block the beam.

Where do you put it on your Nismo?

 

I put the V1 in the middle of the windshield above the gauges. I think anywhere along the middle or even off center is fine. Don't get so caught up in the position of the radar as opposed to deciphering between the real alerts and false alerts.

 

^cool thanks, have the cops ever give you any trouble spotting it as your stopped at a light or anything?

 

no i've never had that problem but plenty of cops have pulled me over but has not given me problems about the v1 - that varies by the area and cops though.
