why spend the money on a great suspension setup and then hinder yourself with small tires? I vote sell the 17s to a Schassis owner get some 18x10.5 RPF1s and put a 285/305 combo for some real grip

because I don't have a turbo car.... 275/40 all around with R compounds will do the job. (besides I can get 4 tires for 660$ instead of 1100 for 18" ... less money on tires, more time on the track)

nice.......... couple questions, the inline filter.... is it used to catch the rear end fluid?. i used a longer hose about 2 feet long. also, does the solid rear bushing cause any problems like vibrations, what did you notice differently with the bushing...........i like the 17in idea........19in toyos are going to kill me.

Nice. I like the 350evo parts.

What does the SPC treatment of the plates entail. Oh and other than size, any reason you switched from those nismo lmgt4s you had to the enkies?

Oh and for the solid bushings, SPL claims that vibrations or ride quality is not effected, but noise may increase some.

Lookin good! I'd love to hear how the diff helps out at the track.

Speaking of which, when are you gonna be at the track?

How do you like the 3.9 setup? Did you notice a substantial difference?

ok.. I'll try to answer to everybody in one shot:
1) solid bushing the good is that with a "stiff" differential the rear end doesn't move anymore, period. instead of having the inside tire doing gnek gnek gnek... now is a continuos whistle in sharp parking lot turns.
the noise.. I can hear the transmission noise very clear inside the car... with the JIC... it's there, but I have to break in the gears and I double check.. the teeth print is perfect, so no whine for a bad install but just coming from the solid bushings.

2) 17" instead of 18 or 19"... no matter how you look at that.. are "at least" 300$ saved every time you change tires.. the plan is switching to NT01 as soon as I'll learn the TWS better... and compared to the nismo 18" with the same money I get also brake pads and some change for rotors.

3) I need to break in the diff and the FD, so, so far I cannot test it properly.. what I can feel, even going slow.. is that the 6th gear now works.. it's strong.

4) I hope I could be at TWS the weekend of the 25, at least saturday, that's the plan....but... we are going to have furlough at work even in my department... and that "could be" an issue depending on how many working days I'm going to lose every month.

5) the wpc treatment is to smoothen the diff, chattering is almost gone.

6) set at 80% instead of 100% there is no more understeering push in the turns... I'll test at more appropriate speed and load.. but feels.. gone.

7) 350 evo camber arms are beautiful and light almost like the stock one.. a fraction of full steel solution (and now cheap, check on their website)

there is no break in for the diff or the gears btw Unless the WPC coating guys say something special is needed. Just install and go

good setup - enjoy it man!

350evo recommends something different.
first trip 15/20miles and let the car sit still until everything is cold.
than about 200? (or 500) miles of driving at reasonable speed w/o stressing the FD with hard acceleration or deceleration.

I'll stick to that for a couple of weeks increasing speed and acceleration by day.. than oil change to clean up some metal shaving (if any) and good to go.

thanks

Do you do any break in on a stock cars rear end? same here...all they use is a factory Nissan ring and pinion, so there is zero break in needed. But, if it makes you feel better to use it, then by all means
