Default Clear bra for nismo

Has anyone gotten a clear bra installed on their NISMO yet? Just wondering. What type of material did they use? 3M or some other brand?

On another note, any of the Hawaii Z guys no if there's a place that does it on Oahu?

On the islands, try T&T Tinting.

Llumar "Crystal Shield" Paint Protection Film, 6Mil thick Clear Urethane.

Pretty expensive compared to mainland prices (it may make your head spin) but they do good work.

Too late for me though, too many rock chips already.

I got one installed first thing after purchase.. I got the 3m material.. I have mixed feelings.. I am not sure if others have been rubbed out but mine was. Very little orange peel but the material seems to make it have some.. Not sure.. Also if you look at it with polarized sunglasses it looks really odd. Its a great product.. you WILL see the line on the hood if you get the half kit. Its a great product and it works but there are some other things I dont like.. I paid $900 for the entire front end with headlights spoiler everything.. Gas cap.. mirrors and the areas behind the wheels..

Did the Z with Xpel. Shop in Lee's Summit full front , hood ,nose, spoiler, front lights & around the door handles. It took about 5 hours to do but well worth it.$500.00

650.00 3M on our Acura SUV. However, I did a trade with the shop so it really only cost me about 100.00 in materials for their signs and my time.

Nope, not me. The cheapest estimate I could find was $600. I could either get my bumper repainted or get a new one for that much so no thanks.

Repaint. That's what the clear bra keeps you from doing if you get it early enough.

I have Phantom Shield installed. www.phantomshield.net

I got front bumper, half the fenders, and half hood, mirrors, and 15% window tint for $700.

I'm very happy with it.

Just had it installed last week by Steve's Detailing in Denver. 3M, 18in sheet on hood, front part of front fenders (headlights to wheel well), rearview mirrows, $250. I recommend the 18in vs 12in. I had pits about 16in up the hood (10k miles).

Also had the front bumper done tween the headlights to the top of the air intake, $115. I held off on the bumper corners as it would be another $200 and they didn't seem chipped. I will keep an eye on it though and install if needed.

Have full clear bra on my 2001 Maxima and it works great here in Colorado where they sand with shot blast sized gravel to help with air pollution at the expense of your paint and windshield.

I just got a quote for $695.

"Congrats on the new ride! Total cash discount price *(OTD, no tax or additional fees) = $695 installed. Includes standard Hood, fender, mirrors/ grill/ and full Bumper. Add $650 for full hood and fenders. We also have headlamp, rear bumper pads, rockers and a-pillar coverage available for this vehicle. * Our normal pricing (non cash discount price) is $30 more than listed above. Sales tax is charged on half the total cost."

Thoughts? Seems a little steep for me.

3M BTW.

My 2005 came with the 3M one... I'm guessing it's the half Bra as it comes half way up the hood...

How do i care for it, like when I'm waxing?

I had mine done at the dealership the day I bought it. They call it digishield. Covers 18inches of the hood all the way down to the front lip. They cut me a deal and sold it to me at cost...$500. I then did the headlights myself. Seems to hold up pretty well. I'm a freeway driver, so this is a must.
