I just purshaced a Black nismo, ive had a 350z in the past with an exhaust which i really liked and im consitering on putting one on the nismo, My questions are (im looking at turbo xs exhaust) if i would lose power because i believe the nismo is tuned to the stock exhaust it has on already. My other question is how would it look, i really like the rear of the nismo but my brother says i would ruin the look with smaller tips because the nismo stock is like 4 in, what do you think?

 

I agree that smaller tips would not go well the large diffuser.

And no, you won't lose power with the turboxs.

 

Cut off the tips from your nismo exhaust and weld them to your new system.

 

The Nismo tips are 5inches roughly.... I just got the Motordyne Exhaust (Gamma). The Tips are 4 inches and still look small on the Nismo. But i PM'd Tony, and he said he would manufacture a 5.25inch tip that would look great on the Nismo Z.....

Go with Motordyne.... Tony is the best, and his products are the best.

 

I don't know the way the mufflers sit on the turbo xs exhaust, but most exhaust systems that have the mufflers running across the car (parallel to the axles) are easily seen on the car. Personally I like the mufflers that hide better such as the HKS TD exhaust. Its a single muffler on each side thats 'tucked' away.
