i placed an order for the following items to upgrade my nismo.
cusco:
Zero-2 Standard (rubber) top
Swaybar front
Swaybar rear
Camber arm front
Rear trailing rod
Rear control rod
and powergrid swaybar endlinks
after i installed my brembo brake upgrade and volk wheels i felt like the car had a lot of play in it still. so i ordered these from z1performance off here.
i am currently in bahrain, overseas and wont be able to install the gear until october. my suspension is stock right now and i will be putting all my stock nismo suspension items up for sale as soon as i get the new items installed.

It's what I was recommended by my installer, the stock suspension is ok but still has a lot of play. I only drive my Nismo for fun and on the track. The stock suspension is not really enough for the track.
I dont have any problems with the stock suspension on the track.

what i meant by brembo upgrade, i sold my stock brembo brakes and upgraded to a 6 pison front and 4 piston rear kit.
i put 19/11 rear and 19/10 front volks on also. even before the suspension upgrades the car has completely changed for the better. grip is better, brake response is incredible.
in order to further use those upgrades to the maximum potential the suspension needs to be upgraded.
I guess you were better off buying a base model then. Since you are swaping out all the "NISMO" package content, I don't see the reason you went for the NISMO. Unless you are paying more for the NISMO just for the #, then I've nothing to say with that. dunno
Good luck on your build, but no matter how I look at it, I still don't see why you have bought a NISMO to begin with.

the nismo is much more than suspension pieces.
the body kit pieces alone are over 6500 dollars. the body dampers and frame welding is the more important part of this car. by improving on the sway bars and coilovers isnt hurting the nismo. just making it a better handling nismo. same thing with the rims and brakes. the wider front and rear rims and increased brake size will help make the car better.
the nismo really isnt worth anything more than a regular z in dollar value anyway. it has lost so much retail value since i purchased it. sticker price was close to 40000 now it is down under 30000 for a new one and around 27000 for a used one.
every car can be improved on, my brother has a porsche GT3 and he has even put money into it to improve on it.
Car manufacturers dont put the best they can on the car. If companies like brembo put the best system on factory cars they would loose a lot of money in aftermarket sales.
the same is true with the nismo, sure it is better than a stock z but it isnt the best you can do, its an improvement that the customer is willing to pay for.
most people wouldnt spend 60000 on a nismo, even if the suspension, brakes, rims and tires, exhuast and computer tuning were already done. it would just seem crazy when you can get a bmw or something nicer for that price. but as you notice on this forum, there are a lot of people who are willing to spend 40000 on the car and than do that much money in upgrades if not more.

if i sell it i will part the car out and re-install the original parts......and still take a hell of a loss.

several of the better tuner shops on here have these on their cars and are very happy with them. They all said that it would be a huge difference over the nismo suspension.
