Default Clear Bra Warranty

Sorry for the repost, I got 60 views on my other thread but not one response. Figure you guys might have a better idea about this.

Getting spiderwebs and cracks under my clear bra. I am thinking of getting a new front bumper for my Nismo

If I do will the dealership apply clear bra for free, as I believe they are supposed to for either up to 5 years or life if damaged.

Any Idea? Anyone run into this issue with their Nismo?

Got clear bra from dealer when I bought the car, not aftermarket

Thanks

If I were you, I would keep the spiderwebbed bumper.

OEM paint outlasts everything. In a few years a new bumper's paint job will chip and peel and look horrible. At least what you have now is still intact.

Technically, the clear bra did its job if it is not discolored, peeling, or falling off. Unless you have encountered those conditions, the clear bra is still performing it's duty.

Keep the bumper for a while. That money burning a hole in your pocket will find a new use.

Do you have a clear bra warranty? What does it say?

Are you sure its the clear bra? I've got a few spider web like cracks as well, but not where the 3M clear bra is applied. I'm about 75% covered on the front, didn't do the bottm corners. A couple show up between the front reflector and spliter. I think from some minor bumper strikes.

^Thats where my webs are too (the webs are under the clear bra)

I've definitly hit the splitter on a few driveways just like everyone else but whats really ticking me off is that when I got my car the section where the front bumper on the passangers side meets the quarter pannel (I think, the part by the headlight) it was never completely flush.

So last week I opened the car up to about 130 mph and the damn bumper started to crack where the part was not flush. I figure the air pressure built up around the wheel well and *crack*

So now its getting worse and worse. I think I might bear it through one more winter just incase, but the spiderwebs are starting to spread from the side of the bumper and around the passanger side reflector.

My guess is to get a new bumper shipped, painted, and installed, with a new clear bra im probably going to be looking close to $800 bucks.

Anyone else get a new front bumper yet. How much did it cost you? (Shipped, painted and installed)

Yea I know its only $300 or whatever from Westcovia Nissan but thats unpainted and before shipping and installation.

I've had my clear bra (manufactured by "Clear Shield") on my Nismo for over a year and i dont see any spider web looking cracks. My installer who put it on my car told me to keep it moisturized with clear liquid polish, and it'll last for years. I've also heard from him that "M3" clear bra turns yellow from the Sun light after curtain period of time, and also the thinner the plastic material is; when the installer is stretching it during installation it weakens the material which may cause this problem. Anyways, just my 2 cents.

^Yea thanks, I probably wasn't clear before, the spiderwebs are not from the clear bra. They are from the paint beneith the clear bra from when the wind ripped apart my bumper, plus the occasional scraping.
