quick tire question
Im looking for a set of new tires for my nismo on tire rack.com I was thinking of the bridgestone potenza RE760 sport bl 275/30r19
Im not looking for the best tire just a all around good summer tire, my question is will these be a problem fitting or have any weird driving conditions if i dont buy the 265/35/19 that came with the car?

I've read a lot of posts here that Potenzas are crapola. Check out CR for the best ones. Last time I checked, Dunlops, Michelins & Falkens were the very best, BUT you will get all kinds of input from the dudes on these posts. best of luck!
I know you're not looking for the best tires, but if you're gonna get tires for the NISMO; don't go cheap. I say this because, he don't want your car, or better yet, a car like this to preform less on the street or track then it did out the box.
I purchased a set of Potenza RE11 and let me tell you.. They are by far one of the best tires I've ever purchased. I'm gonna create a tread on these tires when I get a chance, but anyway I recommend waiting. Spend a little more more money, and get the best tires for your NISMO.

davdv, thanks for the chart, Im going to put the oem tires on my nismo, btw if anyone else is looking to buy the oem tires, sams club has a instant reabate of 100 dollars off the bridgestone potenza's re050a right now they are special order but still the best deal I have found.
I recently purchased a set of tires from TireRack and ended up with some Michelin PS2. So far they feel and handle nicely. I am still breaking in the new tires so I have been easy on the gas pedal.

There's nothing wrong with the stock tires. The RE050s are a HUGE improvement over the RE040s, which were crap.
When I replace the stock rollers, I'm going to get the Hankook Ventus V12 Evo in 265/35/18 and 295/30/19. These sizes will not rub as long as you are on stock suspension (which I am).

I would be hesitant about buying anything more than the equivalent of PS2's, because from what I have seen after that, you are getting into semi slick territory with more surface area and less tred. Rain and bad weather (depending on where you live) may make the car dangerous.
I find the stock Potenza's a little hairy up here in NE and my father has PS2's on his car which he has had some scary moments in as well.
I was really gun ho for getting the RE0R -01s or whatever they are from Bridgestone but I decided to get PS2's when I next swap because to me it isn't worth the saftey - performace risk.
But like i said it all depends on weather conditions in your area. NE sucks ***** for sports cars

I got 275.30.19 and my slip light kept coming on, so I switched to 285.35.19 and no more problems. I recently purchased a set of RE11's for the rears w/ 285.35.19...I just tried them on the track last weekend and they were great!

i just bought two new rear tires from tire rack. I just got the Potenza's RE050A just like it came with cause i dont want to risk it for the winter. But it is good to know we can go to 285/35/19... I think next set i get will be that size...
RE050A are not all season tires, they are classified as summer only (so they don't do well in cold weather, and they are awful in snow)
Has anyone ever heard of the tire Exclaim UHP, General. Do you know if its any good?
