Default Porsche ~ Nismo?

I can almost see why some people keep calling my car a Porsche. I was walking into subway a few days ago and there was a Carrera S in the parking lot and it did look alot like my car. Similar body line, large rims and spoiler made it look a little like my car. I am sure that you guys have been experiencing the same thing with people referring to your car as a Porsche, right? It could be worse, I love Porsches so for someone to call mine a porsche is somewhat of a compliment (sort of).

Here are some reference pics

I am not saying that the two look exactly alike, just similar. To someone who is not really in tune with cars, it is understandable that they could mistake the two.

I don't even have a Nismo, and people come into my shop, look in my garage bay and go, "Is that a Porsche?!"

guess its the wide stance, aggressive lines and the two seats that make it look similar. I like Porsches alot, guess thats why I was attracted to the 350, especially the Nismo

Yep it really is just the design of the Z in general, when people don't know what it is almost always it gets referred to as a Porsche.

I had my car referred to as a porsche...Except it was by a lady driving a convertible 328. She wanted to race because she "had a bmw" and of course they are all faster than a measly Nissan

Those people just don't know cars. I bet you that they would be turn off knowing that it's a Nissan......most of them would be like "Oh..." once they realize that it's a Nissan.

I have exact same car as you and I get that comment all the time... In fact I had a guy that was standing directly in front of the "Nissan" emblem say, "Nice Porsche man!".. /fail
