Default Nismo vs. Exedy Clutch kit + Flywheel

I bought the EXEDY Stage 2 CLUTCH KIT + the EXEDY Lightweight Racing Flywheel from SOLO-350z recently. Thanks RUSSELL!!!

The total weight reduced approximately by 4.5kg(10lbs)

OE CLUTCH = 1.8kg = 3.96lbs (USED, after about 8k+ miles of DRAG RACING and 1/8miles. I don't think there will be much diff. between the new clutch vs. my current one)
OE PRESSURE PLATE = 6.5kg = 14.30lbs
OE FLYWHEEL = 12.5kg = 27.50lbs

EXEDY STAGE 2 Cerametallic CLUTCH = 1.6kg = 3.52lbs
EXEDY STAGE 2 Pressure Plate = 5.8kg = 12.76lbs
EXEDY STAGE 2 Lightweight Racing FLYWHEEL = 8.9kg = 19.8lbs

OVERALL (approximately)
OE 20.7kg(45.5lbs) vs. EXEDY 16.2kg(35.6lbs)

I was quite surprised when I saw these on the box.

Model: G37
Engine: VQ37VHR

So this means that the new 370z also use the same clutch kit???

i honestly wouldnt doubt it but im not a 100% on that. I know on the MT people been saying the CSC is the same as the 350z MT. I guess solo would know 100% on it.

My understanding was the clutches are interchangable between the 350Z HR and the 370Z, but not the flywheel.

Good to see someone finally bought an Exedy set-up. When are you installing it? Are you changing out the slave as well? I also wouldn't mind knowing how stiff the clutch pedal feels once installed. Keep us posted.

I already installed the clutch kit & flywheel and have about 300+ miles on them. According to the EXEDY Fitting Instructions it reads: Road test vehicle and never abuse a newly fitted clutch. Allow 750 mi break in and always adjust free travel on your new clutch at 750 mi and 1500 miles. Thereafter, adjust at every 10,000 miles

I don't understand how can I adjust at every 10k miles? Can someone guide me here?

After the first 300+ miles, I don't feel that it is stiffer than the first day I got my NISMO. 2nd, it is harder to shift into the 1st~3rd gears, normal for 4th gear and much more easier to get into the 5th & 6th gear. On the OE, while over 120mph, it was very hard, sometimes impossible to shift into the 6th. But now..... I feel that it is very easy and feels like kind of my gear can just SLIP IN into the 6th gear.

First time when I drove back home, if I don't step on the GAS a bit harder, it feels like the car will STALL. On the other hand, it also feels like it really wants to GO GO GO and GOOOO... I can definitely feel the TORQUE.

Anyways, I am very happy with this replacement and upgrade. I also ordered 3 autoparts from Dave @ SOUTH POINT NISSAN in AUSTIN, TX. I got the release bearing and these 2 items I don't know what you guys call it.

Just bought the same lightweight flywheel. soon going to get the stage two oem from exedy also when I have the money. part number NSK1000. Will be installing soon. My question is how noticeable is the chatter. I've read allot of reviews and seemed to only read people saying it was noisy but I would like your honest opinion. is the chatter like unbearable? Because I not to worried if the chatter isn't to loud because of the performance aspect of the part. Also this might be a dumb question but a friend told me that a lightweight flywheel wears down faster than the stock dual flywheel?
