Nice car isn't it?

I just bought my 2008 Nismo last Monday and I'm ecstatic about it so far. However, after reading what some of you got your cars for, I feel like maybe I overpaid on mine. Looking at Kelley Blue Book values it looks like we got good deals but it seems some of you got some pretty good deals on yours at the mileage and price. Mine had 19,xxx and I paid around 26 grand for it. It was in great shape and was babied but I'm not sure now if I should have paid that price.

Nice car and good deal. Don't remind me about the weather. Mine has been
parked since last week in october when we had the first snow. Looks like you have been around here since 2006. Did you ever check the local guys out?.
Lots of fun and cruises

I bought mine 2 months ago. 2008 black with 139 miles, never been titled for $28,000 so I think you did pretty good.

"around 26" meaning closer to 27k?? KBB means squat, that is for dealers
and is pretty much meaningless when it comes to "real" market value. Think about it. Its a book that gets printed and when published its already out of date in relation to the real world..anyway. I apologize for my rant.

I think you did OK with regards to the price of your Nismo. If you said like 28k and up it would have been a different story.

I'm getting my chops busted on two separate threads and I just got here! lol Seriously, it was somewhere in the middle, around 26,695 I believe. I know it's just a dealing tool (KBB) but it did show that the car was somewhere in the 30's from looking at it as a starting point. No offense taken on the rant, by the way haha. Thanks for the heads up on the KBB market value and it's relation to buying a car. Knowing is half the battle, as they say.

Agreed. KBB is garbage and their numbers are over inflated. Use Edmunds instead and you will get a better figure as to what you really should pay.

KBB lists a 2008 NISMO with 10k miles at $34,490
Edmunds lists the same car and mileage at $27,216

Now, look at those numbers and tell me which one is more accurate and shows the true market value?

Good call. I really was not aware that KBB was so "off" in regard to their pricing of vehicles. In some ways I did rush into it but hindsight is 20/20. I should have come over to these forums and enquired about what I should haggle the price down to. Didn't even think about that. I saw the car, realized that it was a babied vehicle, locally owned (and that it was clean) and jumped on it. The price wasn't too bad, but I told my wife later that I probably should have talked them down to around 25,500 or something in that range, but it's too late now obviously. Will definitely research Edmunds in the future.
