Default Heyyyy its the Black Eyed....NISMO?!

Just thought I would share what I spent the weekend doing while Virginia got hit with a massive amount of snow. Decided to muster up the courage to black out the chrome in the headlights. Followed the DYI extensively and I am very pleased with the outcome! Primered it then painted it flat black!

you forgot to remove the dotted amber reflector, and the square reflector in front of the turn signal.. it messed up the clean look IMO. And how did you NOT get the OEM silicon to not be a big mess? I had such a hard time with mine being a mess everywhere..

It took me about 11ish hours. I started at around 1130 with the bumper removal and gettin the lights out. Then spent the rest of the day removing the headlights from the casing, priming it, painting, reheat, reseal, dry, etc. I love the cold air intakes, they sound good, installation was relatively simple, and i made gains on the dyno.

I know what you mean, I had initially thought about it at first. I like the way it looks now, but I will probably succomb to it, and remove them. That's another day. I was actually surprised that it wasnt too messy, once I removed the main casing apart from the back, I used a flathead screwdriver to remove all the excess silicone that was kind of "dripping" over the headlight casing. I resealed it afterwards of course, after I was done painting, then putting it back in the oven, and then sealing the cracks. I just worked fast when the silicone was all stretchy upon separating the lights!
