Default Just got my Nismo #0456

Just wanted to say hello.

Got my Nismo about a month ago, #456 out in Phoenix. Loving it so far. I had an '89 240sx growing up and always dreamed of owning a 300ZX.. so I guess this was the most logical step forward.

Didn't plan on buying the Nismo originally.. I wanted a black 350. Just happens that the only one I could find within a few hundred miles was a Nismo. That was the best bad luck I've had in a long time =)

This thing is a blast to drive. Best purchase I've made in a long long time.

Part of my buying it is that the dealer is going to smoke the tail lights and the corner markers for me. I'm at a loss though as what the best route is. I've done a bit of research and it looks like the most common path is either painting or the headlight armor stuff.

Since the dealer is paying for this, I'm trying to figure out what the best route to go is. I can't find pictures of replacement tail light enclosures (specifically ones installed on a car already) and am having trouble telling the dealer exactly what I want them to do. Anybody have any experience on which looks the best and has the best results? I'm looking for a fairly dark tint, but not pitch black.. and I want the lights to still function.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Also, any suggestions for the corner markers (front and rear)?

They're probably going to ship the lights somewhere if they need to be painted or tinted, and I guess if it's just a replacement of the entire enclosure they're going to do it there. Again, I'm not too worried about the price since they're fronting the bill. I just want the best looking lights available.

Thanks in advance.

Bryan

And I know everybody here has seen one before, but whatever.

Sweet! My favorite color NISMO! Any plans for the future with it? I'll update the Registry and welcome to the board!

No plans yet. I think I'm going to be eating rice and vegetables for a few months until I'm sure I can afford to put gas in it to make it to work.

Past that, I realized I'm never putting anything in the trunk so I would like some type of upgrade to the sound system just to get a bit more clarity out of it.

Don't think I can lower it much more or I'll never be able to get out of my driveway.. so the only other option is more speed, which won't happen for a while. So for now it's going to get some smoked lights and maybe some new speakers and an amp and small sub.

+1. A removable tint would probably be a good idea. That way if you decide you change things up or sell you're not SOL.

Nice and congrats! It looks good! Glad to see a fellow Nismo owner in the Arizona area! Hopefully we'll see each other on the road.

Congrats on the Nismo! Adding a better sound system was probably the best thing I've done to my Nismo so far. Stock sound quality is shitty.

very, very nice ride.
congrats.
getting a nice set of aggressive wheels would be my first suggested mod.
