What do you do walk into a dealership with a briefcase?! Now a days it's all CASH! Having an approved bank loan vs a massive wad of cash is all the same to a dealer. They are getting their payday!...

Most dealer financing is through outside sources/banks. I paid cash for my car and I wasn't treated any different then when I get financed.

I don't mind carrying cash upto say 5-8 grand. After that, It's a pia!!!! I'll use a certified bank check.

Black Nismo Z looks so hot stock, it's near perfection. Perfection if it's lower with wider wheels =P

First mod: take off dealer sticker/emblem haha.

Welcome and enjoy her!

ACTUALLY.... i called the dealership when i was 2 hours out and told them that i wanted that sticker taken off before i leave with the car. and they assured me that it would be gone. sure enough, i got so caught up with getting my new car that i forgot to check that they took it off. so now i gotta get something to get the glue from the sticker off bc its gotta come off ASAP!

Really? I'm under the impression that dealers get kickback from banks when they get a car financed. If you pay with cash then they cut you less of a deal because they miss out on the kickback. If you're just talking about walking into the dealer with a pre-approved loan then i agree that it's just like cash. Might be a better idea to get the loan through them and simply refinance it later if you don't like the rate.

Cash works amazing wonders when you're buying a car from a private party though. Especially if the person doesn't live near you. When i bought my 07 a few weeks ago i flew 4 states over with cash and everything went nice and smooth. having 15-25k in cash really doesn't take up much space (no briefcase necessary, lol). It's just 3-4 bank envelopes of 100s.

What's your modification plans for the Nismo? Any pics of the S2K?

18 hours is hella long for someone that lives in Hawaii, like me. I picked my Nismo up on the opposite end of my island and round trip took me maybe 4 hours. Glad you're enjoying the car!

I'm gonna talk to shariff@forged to c what he thinks but I'm gonna be picky about what I do. I really wanna modify it but I don't wanna ruin the fact that its a NISMO 350

I almost went this route to have one that I found in OHIO shipped to me, but then I decided id pay a little more for the car with less miles on it and the lower production #... and I know it prob doesn't make much difference what # it is, but for some reason I wanted to look for the lowest number I cud find
