hello all just recently purchased a 350z nismo #81 and thinking if i should sell my nismo wheels and get varrtoen 2.2.2. If i do would the car look weird when i put 19 in the front without lowering it?

well all understand that your looking for help/answers. The thing is, people who one have a nismo or two appreciate the nismo for what it already is, get dearly upset when people talk about selling a very good set of wheels to downgrade to something like varrs.

If you were asking about maybe upgrading the look with something like a Volk, HRE, SSR, DPE something that yes costs alot of money but the have more cretability then knockoffs that weigh more and are junk to begin with.

If you want to go the route of varrs no one is stoping you, and I bet it will be hard to find someone with that setup due to the downgrade, your probably better off getting it photoshopped by some one on here to see what your imagining. Always be prepared for some kind of antics in every thread/post, it's going to happen.

 

Well said. Varrstoens are inferior, cheapo, copycat, cast wheels. Your car comes stock with forged wheels made of high-quality aluminum by an OEM-level manufacturer.

If you want the "TE37 look," then buy TE37s. If price is prohibitive, save up and look around for a used set. Don't cheap out on performance, looks and most importantly safety by buying junky wheels. Do you trust your life to a set of wheels made of inferior unknown castings, built to an engineering spec designed for wheels made of high-end forged aluminum? I sure as hell don't.

I have sportline wheels which are a million times better the varrestoens but people still think I made a bad move from my Nismo wheels. I like the look, they are lighter and pass all the test that the high end wheels pass. I wouldn't mind a set of varrestoens for a beater or a hard parking car. But I wouldn't put them on a nismo. Nor would I ever sell my stock to buy em.

That being said how much do you want for your stock wheels?
