Default Nismo Wheel question

So I bought #0831 a few weeks ago. It's my first Z(no I'm not 17, ).
The wheels appear to be the factory Nismo's, but... The badge says Rays not Nismo. Does this mean the originals have been replaced, or did some of them come that way factory?

I find it interesting that all other nismo wheels I've seen say Nismo rather than RAYS.

Has anyone else seen this before? It honestly makes no difference to me, curiousity just got the best of me.

That is exactly what I plan on doing. Thanks all for your input.

just so you know.. our nismo wheels are made by rays. If you ever take the wheel off and look behind the wheels, they will say "rays". But those are the wheels that came with the nismo. He just changed the sticker.

Rays makes wheels for a number of manufacturers, the LMGT4 Nismo wheels are made by Rays, I can't remember off hand how many company's Rays makes wheels for but it is a fair few, Ralliart, Volks, TRD are a few and they also make wheels for motorcycles, you'd be surprised as to how expansive their business interests are.

Yep, Nismo wheels! When I bought my Nismo, the previous owner had removed 2 of the Nismo stickers on one side for some reason. I just bought new OEM Nismo stickers from ebay (genuine product from a dealership in another state).

New stickers are expensive, about $25 a piece. But they will look much better than those RAYS stickers!

All Rays wheels have Rays Eng included in the casting, and not stickers. Check the Volks wheels that are currently for sale in the marketplace thread and you'll clearly see Rays Eng around the rim and no stickers, this prevents people trying to pass off wheels as Rays when they're clearly not. Stickers fall off, cast letters don't.

RAYS ENG is cast on the front of the wheel as well.

They're obviously fake. Ship them to me. I'll dispose of them.

I have seen this before, just not on the newer set. Ebay the NISMO logo and go. All I can say is prep. the surface of the wheel with some rubbing alcohol and the logo will stick better. Had friends loose theirs on the first car wash! LOL
