u1001 code?
Yesterday I changed my transmission fluid and left my 2003 350z on ramps over night. Today the car is completely attempting to crank but won't fire. I've got a U1001 code now. Along with 02sH1 and 02sH2. A p0500 vss code and adaptive cruise control code thrown. My car will not start now. Any suggestions?
I learned to turn wrenches with a great stepdad at age 12 and did most of my own car repairs and maintenance but these last two generations are growing up fatherless and I gotta say, what youre doing is a great, invaluable public service for todays young men and women alike. One day when youre long gone there will still be young people who've learned from you, saved money and even stayed safe from accidents otherwise caused by poor car maintenance.
U1001 is a CAN bus code and I wouldnt put too much time into it … I’ve gotten it on multiple vehicles and it has never stopped my car from starting…
Are you o2 sensor codes for downstream? Either way those are an issue for starting
Your vehicle speed sensor are the wheel speed sensors on each of the four wheels - this also wouldnt prevent the car from starting.
Did you do anyting with your cranksaft position sensor? Did you unplug it and forget to plug it back in? Did you damage any of the wiring? Did it get bumped and now its not seated correctly (and thus cannot read the trigger wheel on the flywheel)?
I would start with the crankshaft position sensor.
Did you unplug any other wires or grounds?
Is this a manual transmission?
