Motor Trend is currently testing the car, I was able to snap a few pics since I was near their main office

Yeah, I think this really exemplifies that Nissan is slowly but definitely losing touch with their customer base:

http://www.autoguide.com/auto-news/2...oom-ready.html

The 370Z Nismo is no longer their purpose designed track car. I think they're trying to say it is now the more "elite" "costly" version of the Z; and in some sense they're also telling all of us enthusiasts that we should change our view of what the Nismo is. (Instead of what it was for so long.) Meh. No thank you. My Nismo is probably going to be the last Z I own.

IIRC, the new infinite Q60 coupe is going to have a new 3.0 TT engine that (rumored) will put out 400HP. Hopefully this comes to fruition and the next Z will at least have it as an option.

Even though its just hearsay, this could potentially be a good thing for the Z...

From AutoGuide comes a report that says the production Q60, heir to the G35/G37 line of coupes, will get a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 with 400 horsepower. And that's just to start, too. An Infiniti rep also told the site a more powerful, more aggressive version is coming with 450 horsepower.

At this point, I'm not holding my breath. My previous statements still hold true though. You have a whole host of much more able cars coming in at around $60k , while at the same price point, most manufacturers have caught up or surpassed the Z in one area or another.

Default After I totaled my 08Z I bought a 20012 base automatic w only 1K miles

After my accident I was sure that I would not be able to drive a manual trans as well as I used to(andre12031048) so I found a 2012 base auto with almost no mileage on it.

My favorite 370z year was & still is a 2012. It has the Oil cooler & I prefer the clean front without the two side lights. The car with only 1K I was able to get for $25K.

I was fine with a base cause at home I had my 3:90 gears/lsd pumpkin from my 08Z just waiting for a car.

I'm no longer interested in breaking records so with my 3:90 gears & test pipes I just drive to the track & with stock tires and trans. left in Drive, leaving at idle, I turn 13.00's to 13.3's depending on weather.

I'm fine with that because except for the drive to the track I don't need to do anything else but put my helmet on & have fun.

I've read posts about some 370z's turning similar times in 100% stock condition. Since I've seen several people make that claim then it must be true, I just don't know how they do that considering that I have TWO of the best Z mods in my car

Anyway, I have enough of the cold & snow & can't wait for Spring & have some car fun .....

I'm a whole lot more interested in the 2016 Mustang Shelby GT350 than anything Nissan or Infinite has coming up to the plate.

I want to clarify, I'm not hating. I loved my 350Z, now I love my 370Z. I'm hurt that our car company doesn't care enough about their enthusiast crowd to listen to our pleas to stay competitive.

They are just wasting our time with these iterations of the current car, we should have had a 370z replacement by now

Agreed! M3/M4, ATSV, Corvette Z51, Mustang GT, CamaroSS/ZL1 etc all around that $60K mark.
