Some of the lines look very tight yous should find a way to loosen them a bit and you should put some gromnets around them where they could rub at metal parts.

You will not pass tech at a track with the way your bottle is mounted, 1) it needs to be mounted to the chassis not the plastic cover over the spare and 2) you need to have a blow down tube venting out the car.

thanks for posting pictures though, it's always helpful to see where others hook their stuff

i have a blow down tube and yea i know about the track rules with that..... i didnt show the rubber padding i put around the lines when they hit sharp corners and that pic where it goes thru the firewall has sillicone sealent around it to keep water out and to keep it from rubbing on the jagged hole

I'll tell you this much, judging from the pics this turned out to
be a very dirty install. i just hope for your sake that line
doesn't burst in your ride. You should have planned better.
Sorry, don't mean to burst your bubble. It's just that every
time I see how everyone else is doing it, it makes me thank my
self for taking the time to plan out the whole install. but then again some people just wanna hook it up real quick and run it.
With the Z patience is the key, being how restrictive the car is.
Consideration to the smallest details is what makes any install
great. Word for thought, re-think and re-do. You'll thank me later.

rethink and redo what every wire is hidden and every length of line was thought out carefully. I didn't drill one hole in my body to run lines. the only 2 holes I drilled were the ones to mount the solenoids all the wires. Explain what is dirty about it

my car sat in my garage for 2 weeks because I did each step carefully...... Instead of drilling a straight line from the NX bottle to the engine bay i researched where each hole was in the car and what I could use..... maybe i should take pics now of the totally complete system with all the little things like keeping the line protected from sharp edges. I myself am a 3rd year ME student and my EE friend did the wiring so if you would like to post pics of your miracle install i would like to see them

I don't think his post was meant to attack you but as I stated in my previous post as well there are several potential problems based on those pictures.
You already cleared up the missing gromments
Of course the bottle location violates NHRA rules and so makes the setup not permittable at a race track and a potential deathtrap in case of an accident since you did not mount it to the chassis but only onto the plastic cover.
From what I can see your fuel line is way too tight and under pressure/vibration could tear and so allowing for 1) your engine to go lean and break and 2) you having a major fuel leak potentially causing a fire.
The location of the relay is not good at all and the wiring on the pictures does not look professional at all I'm sorry.
Oh yeah and routing the nitrous line through the cabin can cause issues in case it leaks or you need to remove it for whatever reason. It's better to route underneath the car and you do not need to drill a hole for that either.

I for once would like to see pictures of the final install maybe everything will look better.

And again: as dreamy z stated this is not to burst your bubble or be mean this is for all of us to learn from each other which is the purpose of this forum.

i agree.... this is the kind of response I wanted to get. i dont like the way he approached me with it so i got defensive as well and thats bad on my part I am guessing your concern with the fuel line is the line from the solenoid to the shark ? i put a cai in recently and havent drilled the hole for the nozzle so i will take that slack information into consideration as for the wiring the only shady part of the install was the wot switch because that is the only place we could think of to mount it to have it hit 100% of the time. can you elaborate on the relay? and for the bottle... i just have it there for asthetics if i was to go to a track or if iwas planning on going crazy i would mount it to the body of the car. with the lines in the car ive heard things ranging from if you are careful not to put kinks in it during the install and make sure there is no rubbing you should be fine.... with outside installs wouldnt the risk be higher of heat to the lines ?

yeah the fuel line to the nozzle looks too tight.
The WOT switch you should get rid off all together and replace it with a proper tps switch. I think you could have put the relay on a more hidden location , this is just astethics. Mounting the bottle to the chassis is something you really should do, if that thing goes loose that'll be scary to say the least.
In terms of mounting the feed line outside vs inside there are lots of pro/contra debates. I just prefer the outside because of possible leakes and ease of maintenance and installation.

Didn't mean to be so harsh, just speaking my mind.
It's only to help others understand how things come together.
Some learn from mistakes and others like me take 2 months to
plot out my comlpete install from start to finish. From tearing out my dash and color matching it to the exterior, custom radio bezal
and mounting all my switches. I'll be sure to post pics soon as for others to understand of how my words hold true meaning.
No harm no foul just trying to help a brother out.

yes I agree to the throttle switch being discarded and a proper TPS switch added along with a purge valve to releave the pressure in your lines. The fuel line is way too tight and why did you put the relay way down there?

its looks like you started off good but its not very well done in the engine bay. Also you need some rubber gromets for those lones and you should get touch paint for the wholes you drilled but they will rust.

Hey, decent job with the install. I did it myself too. But just a few things I noticed might help you out.

1. When you install your CAI you might want to consider how I installed my solenoids, lines, and nozzle. Because as someone said, it looks kind of tight in there, and the hood might be pushing down on the line and the nozzle. I'd be a little worried that the line might get pinched.

Here's a pic of where I put my solenoids and lines

Also, in regards to your TPS switch, I'm sure yours works ok, but it looks a little shady. Here's how I installed mine.

Lastly, if you decide to route your nitrous line outside your vehicle, its real easy. Here's one pic of how I did it. Just check out my thread for more pics, who knows it might be of some use. Good luck with the nitrous.
