Nitrous and Tune
Hey all. Just settling back to earth after a very good day Wednesday of having my car tuned. I had Jeremy Tibbs of Performance Factory tune my car for me after I installed my nitrous system from Dynotune. How's that possible with him being in Orlando and me in RI? Easy, I brought him out here. It was great to meet this guy finally after hearing all he's done with his and others cars. He sounded like the kind of guy I wanted to tune my car and seemed like a good person to boot. Well I wasn't disappointed a bit!! Jeremy and his girlfriend were the nicest two people you want to meet.
Well we tuned for N/A and nitrous. The N/A map netted me an additional 10hp and a couple of ft-lbs of torque. I really couldn't care a less about my N/A map since I was close to what I was told was basically the max for what I had. I was really concerned with the N02 map. We had some minor quirks with my UTEC, but Jeremy pretty much solved them. We made 12 pulls and ended up leaving it with 355hp and 397 ft-lbs. and running rich. At one time we had 362hp and 432ft-lbs but we continued to play with it and time running out on us. So we left it safe and at a level I was satisfied with.............. for now. All in all I'm very happy with the day and would like to give a big shout out for JT@ Performance Factory, Dan/Dean@Dynotune Nitrous and Chad@New England Dyno and Tune. Now time to destroy my old tire before putting my new ones on!!!

As for me, I'm running on pump gas and was supposed to be running a 125 shot but I goofed on the jet size so I'm running a little less than that. I'm going to try this at the strip and if I like it maybe I'll get a tune for race gas.

thanks guys!!! you are all too kind. what a great get away that was...
the ONLY bad part about the whole thing is that you have to use a version 2.6 or older to use the nitrous. i dont care what anyone else says. i have plenty of N20 setups running around and there is not one that would use 2.8 version. the downfall is that there are bugs in the older versions, hence the name, older versions.
good thing i have found ways around them though cause of the experience i have had "wasting" time on my own dyno so, when the software has any issues, i just figure them out really fast, much easier on my own dyno though, little less stress as well...
thanks rob for having me up there, your car is going to be very very different these days when your out on the street...

Hey thanks for the comments guys. I'm really trying hard to avoid your thread Tom but I keep opening it up and reading it. Sounds like you guys have a lot of fun down there unlike up here. Now It'll only be worse but maybe I'll need to take a business trip down there so Jeremy can do some "Research" for me. Who knows................ Must not register, must not register, must............
